When you look around the league and see who teams are trotting out as their #4/#5 WRs, Brandon Coleman suddenly doesn't look like a bad option.
Its when the WRs ahead of him go down that he is subpar. He can't handle a full game load. Great for a few plays a game, but not much more.

Im cool with him being our #5 tbh. He did improve last year minus the fleeneresque tendancies. He runs a good route and knows our offense.

In 2017, Coleman had 23 catches for 364 yards and three touchdowns, as well as two lost fumbles. He also played a career-high 63 percent of offensive snaps as the Saints focused on a more-balanced offense that featured his run blocking.
Coleman was a restricted free agent this year, but the Saints declined the chance to tender him. The lowest tender would've given him a one-year deal for $1.907 million, so it's safe to assume his new salary is less than that.
The Saints also have Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn Jr. and Cameron Meredith among the wide receivers on their roster. Willie Snead has yet to sign his restricted tender for $1.907 million, but he has until just Friday to receive an offer sheet from another team.

If they could teach him to just go out of bounds or simply go down immediately after catching the ball, he would do really well.

I don't hate it. Assuming he makes the team....he knows the offense, is a pretty decent blocker, catches TD's from time to time, decent #5.

He's made some really impressive catches... he just needs to immediately go down/out of bounds after every catch.
