No, but they certainly think they are.

No. And neither is Texas.

They have cultures all their own.

Sort of western IMO.

I don't consider Maryland and DC part of the south either.

This.

Texas is NOT the South. Texas is Texas.

I'm not too familiar with Oklahoma, but there's absolutely nothing in modern Maryland or Delaware that feels remotely Southern to me.

Lower Alabama/Northwest Florida? That's Southern.

Anywhere that people wear cowboy hats shouldn’t be considered the south.

Any map that includes Delaware in the south is legit AF.

This is a stupid map. It’s wrong by about 10 states all around and certainly adds 5/6 to the South that don’t belong.

Oklahoma, outside of Native American shite, it’s culturally void.

I'd say no. But, also, neither is West Virginia. Missouri has an argument, but still likely a no for me.

To be fair, many people in the south think the same thing about LA

No. It's southwest. Along with Texas. Although texas is far more in a grey area with that. They're really culturally their own and then I'd say Oklahoma attaches on to that. They're more southwestern cowboys than southern.

If you only breakdown the country in 4 regions, then yes. Not sure how else you would classify it. West? Midwest?
