Rather ask the baws of the outdoor board than the food board.... trying to keep it below $300. Don’t mind going a little higher but would rather be $300 or lower

I have the basic master built model and it’s been great. Really easy to use

I have a Masterbuilt and love it. Just don’t spend the extra for a glass door because after two uses you can’t see through it anyway.

30 or 40 inch? Curious if the 10 inches makes that big of a difference

Get the 40. Briskets fill it up quick.

I picked up a 40" Masterbuilt at Academy about a year ago for $199.00. Works great. They normally have sales on the major holidays.

For that price your only real option is masterbuilt, there are better electrics, but they are more expensive.
The key to masterbuilts is to only use the electric portion to heat the chamber, not to smoke. The smoke setup on masterbuilts are complete garbage and makes the benefits of electric nonexistent since you have to babysit the chip loader all night.
basically you can throw away the chip loader and purchase an AMNPS at amazenproducts.com, the 5x8 fits nicely in most masterbuilts.
However I suggest just avoiding electrics, research pellet smokers which is what you are attempting to do with the AMNPS in the masterbuilt. Far better quality smoke and just as easy, prefer it over ceramics, but not as good as stick burners.

This is a 420 dollar smoker.
That is on clearance all over.
Down to 69 bucks in some areas.
punch in your zip and it'll check all Wal-Marts around you
Zachary Wal-Mart has 3 sccording to site.

Honestly have had a couple different electric smokers over the years and so have my friends. They are all about the same not a hill of beans of difference in cookability. Find one you like the look of and burn some meat.
Now forced draft wood fired smokers.....That is where the real ball game is.

I got the 40" mastercraft for my parents and they have absolutely loved it. Use it almost every weekend. I got it based on a few people at work talking about how much they love theirs. I would go with the 40" over the 30" personally. Academy Sports have them listed for $299 but have them on sale for $199 fairly often. Is there a spring black friday sale coming up?

Get a Masterbuilt. 30 or 40 depending on your needs. Gen 1 or 2.5 only. Stay away from the Gen 2s.
Then buy an A-Maze-En tray and pellets.

my dad has a masterbilt and loves it.... He doesn't like to fool with a stick burner like I do. I cooked on it with my same basic rib process and other than the smoke ring, the flavor was pretty similar.
