So was watching the Meat Eater episode where they are squirrel and rabbit hunting around MO iirc and they ate at that catfish restaurant that only served ops. Got me thinking and I can't think of one restaurant in LA that is similar which is a shame imo.

I have always enjoyed Catfish Cabin in Monroe. They have not changed since the 1970s and their all-you-can-eat fried catfish and fried shrimp has always been spot on!

My favorite is Roys Catfish in Kinder, thin and crispy.

I have eaten at Middendorfs several times and it is ok...too thin and lacks seasoning.

After living in Virginia for the last 12 years, I can say without a doubt that the best catfish I have ever eaten is in Louisiana. I can say that about all seafood as well. The seafood up here is Maryland style and SUCKS! See Captain Ds

Thanks. Never heard them called that.

I’ve caught very few flatheads and don’t think I’ve ever eaten one.

Spahr’s. Don’t forget to get a Bloody Mary while you’re there.

Not well know, but port au prince on Lake Claiborne in homer, LA is by far the best fried catfish I’ve ever eaten. It’s been ran by the same family since the late 50s or early 60s
