I guess from the same level of delusion that makes you think that you know anything that drives your other posts.

What about the recent tax breaks? My increased take home will pay for quite a few more tickets not that I am buying more. It certainly covers what I spend every year on season tickets. People have more money to spend now so maybe that is helping.

There is no way I am giving up my seats in spite of my displeasure in the administration. And when its time to have our voices heard who are they going to listen to? Fans with or without current tickets? There will always be a place in my pocketbook to watch LSU football. Its something I shared with my father before he passed away and it something I get to share with my son now.

As others have noted, the ONLY reason they're up is due to tax changes.

I'm cancelling 5 season tickets after having them for over 30 years. Stadium was empty most games last season and will be worse this year. The great run we had over the last 20 years was fun, but LSU football as we've known it is over.

Cause

Early donations (before Jan. 1) were up 200%

Effect

Early donations are up because those who are going to donate want to avoid the tax. You'll see a significant drop in donations over the course of the fiscal year more because there are so many early donations.

Also, having early donations be up 200% has absolutely nothing to do with what the total donations for the fiscal year would be.

Just wait until the south endzone stadium club membership is done with their 3 year required commitment in the next year.

The early donations being up makes complete sense with the tax change. Not sure that’s proving the point that you want it to.

Season ticket sales will be down again. We’ll know more after March31.

Plenty here talk shite but oh I’m keeping mybtix blah blah blah. For those who act kudos to you!!!!! It’s the only way they get the message and real change can happen. All joe sees is $$$$$$$

The 8 ticket limit per season ticket holder in the South Club has been lifted, so I think LSU fans HAVE gotten the memo. The wealthiest ones at least have gotten the memo and the administration pays attention to the wealthy donors. I turned in 4 because of the clowns in charge.

because we love lsu and going to TS is ingrained in our dna regardless of how many unqualified coaches our clown ad hires. ill never stop going.
I started going in the 60'with my parents.

Started going regularly as a High School student in the early 70's.

LSU student/GBFTL drummer in the mid-70's-early 80's.

In attendance at roughly 90% of the games in TS since becoming an Alum in 82 up until 2005. (Katrina)

Have backed way off since then. Been there, done that.

The last few years the atmosphere has declined significantly and I no longer feel compelled to be in that stadium. The thrill is gone. The thrill has gone away.

Last year, NO games. Zero. Didn't even play in the Alumni Band, which I usually do.

Will not return until the recorded musical garbage completely stops. (Insulting to all LSU Band Alums) Alabama at Night is the only exception and even that depends on record and if the team still has anything to play for. (SEC West Championship)

Ross should’ve asked about suite renewals. The picture isn’t quite so warm and fuzzy in that department. But then again, he was fed those questions by LSU.

Why else would he ask about the rate of renewal prior to the deadline? Could it be the aforementioned tax reform prompted many to make those donations prior to any changes impacting their liability?

Was this story so hot it had to run now as opposed to just after the deadline? You know, when we could compare year to year and not apples to oranges as the story does now? It wasn’t exactly some hot-off-the-presses type Scoop.

By waiting until after the deadline, a much less opaque picture gets painted.

By running it now though, prior to the deadline, a much more positive one gets painted.

We’ve been reduced to using accounting tricks to push the narrative of our AD’s and our Football Program’s success. Sad, really.

Yeah when I saw non renewal rate I thought it was odd since the deadline hasn’t passed, so I glanced through the article looking for stats. This is all I could find, did I overlook something?

Every year we send out notices to people asking generally, ‘Do you plan on renewing your seats or not?’ Just to get an idea. We’ve actually had less people tell us this year that they don’t plan on renewing their seats than in past years.

Lol.

Gray, you’re worse than an O-pumper—you’re the O-pumpers’ dick sucker. When one of them gets their arse kicked—as often happens, a la this thread—you come rushing in with your lame little comebacks thinking you are “saving “ the situation.

You contribute absolutely nothing to this forum. Now No one stuck a nickel in your slot, shithead, so shut the frick up.

Don't understand the paradym that you have to abandon LSU athletics if you don't like the FB coach. Seems immature.
