Yeah, I think people like him assume all land in Africa was owned by black people or something. It was just a bunch of tribes, many nomadic, and some kingdoms. There were more void spaces than actual claims on property.

How do we know that? Oh yeah, white folks found that out

Another African country did this a few years ago and last year continued calling on the white farmers to return and their land would be returned if they'd start farming again.

To do this the way they want and have it be successful, they will have to nationalize the farming system, have some legit farmers (of any race) be there for a few years to oversee the process and make sure it works. Otherwise they will wind up starving themselves like the other African country did.

quote:

In 2000 Robert Mugabe forced 4000 white farmers in Zimbabwe to give up their lands and leave the country. In 2015 he asked them to return. $12billion suffered in lost agricultural production since. The national currency is now worthless and the people are suffering hunger and fear. Of the 4000 only 300 have returned. Zimbabwe is relying on food donations from other countries to feed their population.

Being forced out of the country with no assets or income to your name would be a huge financial blow. I'd assume most were destitute upon arrival elsewhere.

If you were never able to put down roots and get ahead in your new home I could understand the appeal of a high risk gamble such as that. I would never do it, personally, but I could understand it.

We could use people that know how to irritate and farm on shite land. Could irrigate and utilize government lands in Nevada and Utah.

I wonder what the people who are pro zionist settlements or pro land grab would think if native Americans started making similar claims.

this seems to be a concept that is lost on people now.

From what I gathered reading some english South african forums, is that many plan to wall the densely populated white areas and form militias to guard the farms.
Also barb wire along road ways and electrified perimeter.
Though all ideas. I know that these people won't leave without a fight.
This is not what Mandela wanted.

As someone said earlier, there are consequences for losing wars.

Nation states are forged by war. The U.S. basically waged a war of genocide against the Indian population. European nation states like modern Germany were formed that way. Its also why I am team Israel.

South Africa was a short term success in that Mandela and De Klerk had a unity government to perform an orderly transition of power that didn’t leave millions dead.

It has been a failure in the long term because you have blacks on one hand thinking things haven’t changed enough while on the other hand you have whites thinking that everything is going to shite and that they and their culture are being targeted.

Neither side is happy and what we are seeing is pretty much the same thing as every other major colony in Africa, just pushed back about 20-30 years.

The black majority may nominally win by expelling the white majority and gaining their land, but we all know how this will end. Another basket case African dictatorship which is too incompetent to grow its own food.

There's plenty of BLM land and forest service land to hand over.
