I agree. If I was a farmer there I would have a dump truck full of salt and would plow m6 land with salt. Nothing would grow for decades.

Yeah, I think people like him assume all land in Africa was owned by black people or something. It was just a bunch of tribes, many nomadic, and some kingdoms. There were more void spaces than actual claims on property.

The Dutch and British took lots of land. Much of it was vacant. A decent chunk wasn't. They tried to rectify that with the Native Land act during apartheid, but it's still contested to this day, quite obviously.

What a colossal shithole continent Africa is. It's just so fricked up in so many ways.
Like the fact that albino children and adults are kidnapped and dismembered by blacks because supposedly albino flesh has "magic" properties. Oh but hey, at least they don;t always kill the albinos, they just hack off their limbs and leave them to die.

I mean the Dutch and British settlers eventually moved inland and easily defeated tribes and took land as necessary. This happened by force for much of the 18th and 19th centuries.
As for the original "owners", it's not like that had papers or something that proved their ownership. It's no different than suggesting native American tribes owned land in the US.
Where our history separates from South Africa would be the early 20th century. South Africa refused to allow natives to acquire any more land than they were given.

As someone said earlier, there are consequences for losing wars. It's not pretty, it's not nice, but it's been the norm throughout history. As has been touched on, the U.S. wouldn't exist without us winning wars, "stealing" land, colonizing it with our own people, and marginalizing/disenfranchising natives. That's just the nature of the game.
Also, the idea that this land was "stolen" is hilariously wrong. The land was bought and paid for with the blood of pioneers and soldiers. If it was truly valuable to the original owners I hope they made the new owners pay dearly for it, but make no mistake: land is certainly earned in war.
