The fukcing 'heat' on the 'gun issue' is pure bullshite to begin with. That is nothing more than a tired campaign tactic for the DEM party to try selling to their sycophants.

Not that a perfect sheriff's dept could have totally prevented the situation, but they damned sure didn't help it any - and there is high probability they could have nipped it in the bud or at least limited the casualties.
But that wouldn't have permitted = "NRA are MURDERERS" bullshite.

I'd like to see that frickface Scott Israel resign in disgrace, though.
At least we agree on that - but it goes much deeper than just him.

The same thing happened at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Either the city PD or county sheriffs set up outside and made no attempt to penetrate and neutralize the shooter. Several victims bled to death because no one would enter and perform triage in a timely manner.
I know that’s what they signed up for, and kids getting massacred is a pretty darn good reason to risk your life, but I’m not gonna judge these guys. They have families too.

Kind of makes you wonder if they are trained or told not to enter and engage in those situations?
Like the other said 1 guy could be said to be scared, but 4 shows more of a training problem
One of the knocks at Columbine was the procedure to rush to the scene and wait for a centralized plan/leader. That cost lives.
After Columbine, SOP has been to get to the scene ASAP, enter the building, help people and/or engage the gunman/men.
This department failed it appeared.

We're up to 4 now?
This is unbelievable.
This is unbelievable.

Just 6 minutes. Try holding your breath that long. Yeah I am 3rd generation Navy but couldn't do it either.
How many kids dies in 6 minutes. Let's see. 17 divided by 6 is almost one every 20 seconds.
Sure. let's analyse that a little more!!!

Yes, it can. By making it very difficult for a mad student to get his hands on an AR-15 in the first place.
That's about as lame an argument I have ever seen you put forward. You are usually wrong, but this is just pathetic.

Yeah, in fairness, I seem to recall him being fairly rational about the whole Alton Sterling incident. That stands out because it was so surprising.
That was a one time occurrence. He has yet to be right as often as a stopped clock.

The Cowards of Broward...you know its going to stick...

We don't have a accurate timeline, the whole shooting lasted 6 minutes, it could have stopped before he reached the building.
Just like every situation involving a cop, no body here was actually there, we don't have the details of the encounter, why the rush to condemn someone without all the available informantion?
Why the rush to ban all guns without all of the available information?
Perhaps you just want to take advantage of the situation while passions are high.

It seems like cops have lots of bravado and courage when it's 5 cops on one unarmed man. With an armed shooter, not so much.
My buddy Mike died chasing an armed shooter in S.C. recently. So not all cops.

If the student didn't have the weapon in the first place there would have been no need to call the police at all.
SO - your obvious position is that, given the world as it exists today, IF there were no such thing as an AR-15, then none of this would have happened - all else being equal.
Can you not see how utterly stupid that position is?????
OR - are you going to admit that your position is that you just want to disarm the citizenry of the nation one weapon style at a time, requiring 1000s of similar tragedies to get to the single shot .22s

Four (Not One) Broward Deputies Failed to Enter School During Shooting
But yes, please. By all means, come take my guns and I’ll rely on the government to protect me and my family.

Active shooter/In-progress school shooting protocol for police agencies dictates exactly that...IMMEDIATELY running toward the active shooter and suppressing the threat. It doesn’t matter if it’s one officer or 10. You enter and attack the threat immediately. You don’t wait for back up.
One deputy sounds like cowardice. Four is a clear indication of policy failure (if they even had an active shooter police or training).
I know of several other Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments in Florida that have comprehensive active shooter training and policies. These departments also work with the school districts so that school administrators know what to expect.
Based on what I know of Broward, and their political climate (hint: not like the rest of FL), they likely did not have active shooter training, or did not follow active shooter protocol.
An active shooter in my county would be put down with a quickness. The Sheriff in my county also encourages all citizens to arm themselves and become CCW holders. He even offers free CCW classes.

Granted mine are in elementary school but their resource officer would take on 50
Shooters. He loves them like his own. Hard to imagine a cop that’s there every day, who patrols the school daily and see’s these kids every single weekday, willfully staying outside. I am not inclined to believe this is plain cowardice. I’m not sure a person is capable of that level of cowardice, much less an officer.

If you are talking about Rex, he was aggressively on the right side of the Travon Martin travesty also.

It is hard, until you imagine the cop as prog filth.
