What would we have to give up to get Landry?

would be a total waste of picks and money.

we already have plenty of players that move the chains underneath.

Go get Sammy Watkins.

Probably our 27. Normally I would say go for it but that would have us not picking until the 3rd round. Not sure you could get a better player at 27 though, would definitely need to have a deal locked up before he gets here.

This is the only possible way it would make sense for us.

As of right now, he has a 1 year deal for 16.2 mil. I wouldn't give up our 3rd round pick for that.

No way do they get a first round pick for a franchised Landry. The Saints only sort-of got a 1st rounder for Cooks, who is a better player and had 2 years remaining on his deal for about $6m less than Landry is making this year alone. I'd be shocked if they do better than a 3rd.

In all seriousness, it just seems like the Dolphins took away Juice's FA by tagging him and now probably going to dictate where he goes and more than likely it will be an NFC team.

I love Juice and he would have been a solid FA, but this would be a terrible move. Just like Butler would have been last year.

You don’t give up a high draft pick to acquire a player that will need a new big contact. Players on rookie contracts are the most valuable thing in the NFL besides QBs.

I’d hate to see him go to Carolina

But the melt on here would be fricking glorious

I agree with you 9 times out of 10 but we are in a different part of life with our NFL team. We need to sell the farm for Drew and crap out later.

He would have to forfeit his years as an LSU tiger before Sean would go for it.
