Good thing those shitty teams will be knocked out in the first round. I dont understand why people get so mad about the split, some teams were so dominant in their division that it fricked it up for everyone else

I want to know how these coaches don't get the hint that maybe it isn't your year lol... Like when you're 3-20 or whatever and you still get a round 1 game

The minimum should be a .400 finish to go to the state playoffs. That ensures that playoff teams are shooting the majority of their shots in the right direction of the goal.

12 classes/divisions I mean Jesus dude.

Sidenote, what separates class and division, private vs. public?

I am not really sure anyone knows the exact answer to that question...but you have the gist of it. The terms are actually "select" and "non-select". For example, magnet schools are public, yet they are classified as "select" with private and parochial schools.

The whole thing is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside a massive clusterfrick.

My recollection is that magnates, charters and other public schools that allow enrollment from outside their geographical district were classified based on percentage of players from outside the district. There are a few guys on the board who are really up on this and could probably correct anything I have wrong about that.

Except for New Orleans schools. They use an app, so they pull kids from all over, but TECHNICALLY do not pick them. So they aren't classified as "Select" since they didn't select their kids. Since this has been in place, you've seen those schools rise to power. Karr, McDonogh 35, Landry Walker, and Warren Easton have really dominated football in 4A and Landry Walker won a title in 5A. LW has won several basketball titles as well and is the 3 seed this year.

It really is a clusterfrick.

I would say the biggest beneficiaries have full command of the system... What is next is power rating reform... I'd love to see average class played come into the equation somehow.

Y’all need to watch Rayville play if given the opportunity. They are incredible. #1 may be the best HS player I’ve ever seen in person

#5 East Ascension had to go to Shreveport on a Tuesday to lose to the HOME TEAM #21 seed.

Fix this system. NOW. A #5 seed shouldn't be traveling 5 hours on a weekday in the 2nd round to play a team 16 spots beneath them.

Seen Rayville play and they just toy with teams.

I saw them play Ouachita and half the time they were just going through the motions while Ouachita played their little hearts out just to stay in reaching distance. When they dial it in they are unbeatable in Louisiana.

Would have loved to see them play Natchitoches Central. Also Rayville has travelled an enormous amount this season. Played Ouachita both times on the road in the Madhouse and still won comfortably.

They are up there, but would put Riverside at number one, and Scotlandville at 2. Even though I think if those two played at now Scotlandville would probably win.

For those saying Mylik Wilson is the best basketball player they have ever seen , he is not even the best player in the state this year.

They would curb stomp this Scotlandville team this year.

Outside Smart they are young and not nearly as good as years past.

Dont believe Rayville has a single kid under 6'4 in the lineup. For a high school team from small town usa and not some prep academy, that is insane.

Yeah Scotlandville is young and not as deep this year, but to say the most consistent program the last 5 years, and a 5A power such as Scotlandville, who by the way every year plays out of state competition tough would get beaten easily by Rayville is laughable.

To that guy that said Mylik Wilson is the best player he has ever seen in person, he is a tremendous shooter needs to develop other areas and get stronger. If you can watch Javonte Smart play he is the best player in the state.

Btw not a Scotlandville supporter in any way just stating facts
