One form for as many guns as you desire to take home at the same time. The fee depends on the FFL. Some do one fee per form, some do one fee per gun.

Because this is what we'll end up with when we're done.

I'd imagine the OB build to be that with an 8" barrel.

Ballistic Advantage barrels have become my favorite of late. Currently a 10.5 hanson

Guys-Lee bang switch

Daniel Defense for rails

I have run various BCG's, my go to currently has a 89$ "budget" BCG that has ran fine for about 5K rounds.

Adjustable gas block, I use Superlative's

Latest build is a 14.5" Odin barrel and 12" rail, Ballistic advantage lower and BCG with a LaRue MBT trigger.

I prefer Trijicon MRO's or Aimpoint. Not quite blind enough to need magnification for what I do at 100-150 yards.

I always say, never skimp on a barrel or trigger.

I'm sure they can be sourced from abroad, better price in bulk.....

Looking at lowers, is the PSA good stuff?

Opinions vary. I have had some PSA lowers that had a sloppy fit, and some that didn't. Although I don't prefer it, an accuwedge will tighten up the fit if it is sloppy.

This is a pretty old spreadsheet but you can use it as a guide to see what parts you need.

All that and still has a stock charging handle. Curious omission.

However, it's a buyers' market for ARs, so from a pure cost standpoint, I would say you have to build 5 or 6 to break even - just on the tools, unless you already have everything or borrow from family and friends.

I would say this is true to some extent, not sure if you have to build that many to break even on the materials and tools. I built one from the ground up and got all the tools to do so. Best part about it is now I can work on it if needed and I have a very good understanding of how the platform operates

Ballistic advantage barrels are good stuff. MOA guaranteed if I'm not mistaken

I thought Sulzer was the official AR of the OB

No complaints from me on my Sulzer. My man built me a perfect deer killing rifle.

If cost isn’t a factor:

JP for Barrel, silent captured spring, bcg, and gas block

I like a fixed stock so the ace or even the magpul moe works.

Hiperfire for the trigger

I prefer a small diameter hand guard with no rails - aero makes a good one that fits their upper/lower.

I have many ar’s and I prefer an 18” Barrel for the rifle length gas system. Much softer shooting.

+1. Love the JP spring system. Good stuff!

I have adm uic mod 2 in fde and the receivers really are nice. When I was comparing it side by side against a Daniel defense, just no comparison at all.
