Anyone who gives it a bad review is a racist!

Just like Get Out!!!

Isn't that weird?!?

I'm sure it will be great, but I'm not trusting the critics on this one.

I’m just so tired of the MCU now. Please just let it end after Infinite War.

Watching this in the theater on opening night is going to be epic.

Honestly I kinda feel bad for the writers and directors. They wont get a fair review of the film.

Well these are certainly statements you don't usually see about Marvel Villains:

quote:

Most of all — in a bonafide Marvel rarity — it’s true of the film’s villain, Erik “Killmonger” Stevens. Played by Michael B. Jordan in a swaggering performance that burns with the same fire he and Coogler lit in “Creed,” Erik is an American-raised Wakandan exile who kills for a living and lives for the chance to avenge the historic and ongoing wrongs that have been brought to bear against black people across the world. He resents the fact that Wakanda has removed itself from the narrative of slavery and imperialism, and he wants to use the nation’s power to flip that script in the most violent ways. (“I’ma burn it all!”)

Takes balls to make the villain a militant black man.

quote:

while Killmonger keeps his cards up his sleeve until relatively late in the film but emerges as the most satisfying comic-book adversary since Heath Ledger’s Joker.

This statement is so over-the-top it makes me doubt the entire review. I mean, I hope it's true but, damn.

Well, there’s one thing for sure, wakanda is definitely fictional.

An advanced, functional city in Africa that isn’t wholly corrupt and run by Africans?

I'm being pushed into having to defend Marvel.

This place is a warped mirror universe of what the M/TV used to be.

Means nothing. Critics are SJWs and will like anything like this. Proof: TLJ.

Bring on the downvotes

Good chance I'll like this movie, but there's obviously a mega SJW agenda attached to the reviews...per the norm these days.

Just went to rotten tomatoes website

Movies
Black Panther 100%

TV shows
Black lightning 100%
Black-ish 100%

No critic will give bad review in today’s climate so it’s hard to judge any movie/show from critic standpoint. Hopefully it’s good.

I'm worried about being able to trust the reviews for this movie. It seems like politics and Disney meddling could distort the numbers if it's not good. And idiot snowflake racists could distort the numbers if it is good.

We'll probably have to actually go see the movie to know if it's any good. At the moment, this looks like a "wait for Netflix" one, but the hype seems pretty legit. The hype was legit for Thor: Ragnarok and I was absolutely blown away with how good it was when I went to see it in the theater.

It may be a very good movie... but I'm fairly bleh about Black Panther as a character.

I don't think it is racism, or maybe it is and I have a KKK outfit stalking me in my dreams.

Rather its that I don't care for the character.

By which I mean, in the comics Black Panther used to be fairly interesting secondary character... which isn't an insult, lets face it he's not going to outsell most of Marvel's big names. He could be a bit of an arrogant arse but at heart he meant well.

The last fifteen years or so he's morphed from a bit of an arrogant arse to a Mary Sue character who is a complete and utter a-hole.

He has a cure for cancer! Which he won't share with the rest of the world. He declares war on Dr. Doom... despite both countries being land locked tiny nations (and the two characters never displayed any real hatred for each other to be honest). He marries Storm of the X-men! Even though the characters had never met before (the writer thought the most prominent black characters in the Marvel Universe should marry).

Sure, the MCU version of the character is different from the comics version of the character but with every other character that has had a movie made about them... at least I wanted to see them based on their appearances in the Comics.

I expect the leftist and left-pressured critics to rave about it. I expect neo-con trolls to blast it. I expect it to be somewhere between the two, pretty enjoyable. Otherwise known as the get out treatment
