Matt Cassel hadn't started a game since HS and nearly took them to the playoffs.

They played the NFC and AFC West divisions that year. They were HORRIBLE.

09 pats was the worst team of the Brady-Belicheck era. Plus Brady was shaky as hell in the pocket after his ACL tear the previous year

In spite of all that, they were within a 4th and 2 failure to convert play of going 11-5 but I get your point. To me, that was almost the transitional period for the Pats to shift to this current brand of Patriots football as opposed to the Randy Moss/Kevin Faulk-veteran-based team that sort of represented the latter part of last decade.

Yeah it was the year Moss went crazy because of his contract and got traded mid season and the year before they drafted Gronk/Hernandez. Offense really had no identity.

Then on the defense you had all the adalius Thomas drama

If there ever was a time to make that "this is the end of the dynasty" article, it was that year

This has to be the dumbest thread ever . If the patriots system was so masterful and easy for qbs why haven't any other teams figured out how to run it.

He’s very smart and accurate short medium range.
So he knows how to find the open receiver and get it down the field and score td's, but since he doesn't throw the long pretty ball as much he's overrated

OP got 94 upvotes for this retarded post.

The Peyton Manning knob slobbers are out in full force for just a few more weeks before Tom wins his 6th.

Are you a Saints fan? They are all melting down lately and this seems like a melt.

Exactly. We're talking about a guy who is Top 5 all-time in every major statistical category for a QB, a QB who is about to win his third league MVP award, and a QB who has won 5 Super Bowls and 4 Super Bowl MVPs. If Brady was merely the product of a system, you'd think more average QBs in the NFL would be able to replicate his success.

Let's also talk about the two Super Bowls he lost...He lead his team down the field to take the lead, only to see the defense lose the game.

He probably should have 7 rings... Deal with it.

If you're going to use this logic you probably need to take the Seattle one away from him. That was a gift of a win if I've ever seen one.

I'm not saying Emmitt was garbage, or even that he was on par with his backup, just that he is nowhere near the GOAT RB

I still think Emmitt is top 5 maybe...... He had more help than ANY other top ten back.. Its not really close...............

I mean he came back from being down 10 in the fourth quarter with 2 TD passes and took the go ahead lead with 2 minutes left

This is a terrible thread. Why would someone ever make a thread calling a player overrated? Kinda dumb if you ask me.

he averaged like 3 yards per carry with the cardinals but pathetically stuck around to get the record.

You are an idiot - #22 got the rushing record while he was a Cowboy.

I dont understand how there is still an argument on why Brady wins more than the other 3

All of their offensive metrics are identical, then Brady has an average defense ranking of 7, while the other 3 are 14, 15, and 20

This shouldnt be hard to figure out people

Most of the people on here are...not smart

The game Brady "won" until the defense almost fricked it up...again?

Good grief
