I'm pretty sure the offenses produced very similar results
Well, with his logic, Brady still did 1 game worse in 2009 than Cassel did in 2008

Brady has five rings... he was pretty clutch in the ones he won, but they have only won one by more than three points... and that was last year... in overtime.... winning is winning I guess.... as far as him bring overrated????? That's crap.....

Yeah, I couldn't disagree with the OP more. He's one of the greatest.

No Bree's is not..... he has never had a pro bowl WR until this year..... he basically kept the Saints afloat the last three years up until this year....

I notice you didn't respond to the points I made in response to your post. Don't be cherry-picking arguments, homey. Just admit you're wrong about Emmitt and we can all go home without further internet bloodshed.

What points did I miss?
You mentioned pro bowls. I responded by telling you none of those players made a pro bowl before Emmitt was drafted. Do you have any guesses as to why that is?
Also in 1993 Emmitt held out the first two games of the season. So why didn’t Derrick Lassic or any other RB do the same as Emmitt?

Also what does a story (the one you linked) about the 2002 Dallas cowboy offensive line have to do with anything?

Norv Turner and that blocking scheme he instituted with that line and Moose and Emmitt as the feature back was dynamite, it was the perfect synergy that propelled that offensive unit to legendary championship greatness and translated to Emmitt's record-breaking stats. To me, it was an approach that probably would've only worked with a back of Emmitt's skillset and attributes within that team, JJ essentially drafted this generation's Emmitt Smith when he drafted Zeke with that motive in mind. The resemblance of Zeke's approach to running the football relative to Emmitt's is scary accurate and correlates to consistency in performance and toughness.

If you think Emmitt Smith dragged his linemen to 24 Pro Bowls, and his TE/FB to 6 of them, I don't know what to tell you.
The article explain's Jimmy Johnson's hard on for having the biggest line the world had ever seen, which is basically my whole point (along with the other players like Aikman and Irvin who greatly helped make his record possible).
Regarding the other back, I'm not saying Emmitt was garbage, or even that he was on par with his backup, just that he is nowhere near the GOAT RB,and more over-rated than Brady.

Nice Turner certainly should get some credit for changing his scheme to fit the players he had to work with. It won 2 Super Bowls while he was in dallas from 1991-1993.
But even after he left, Emmitt never slowed down. He became the first player in NFL history with 11 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and the first to post 11 1,000-yard rushing seasons in a career

Explain why they never made a pro bowl before Emmitt Smith was drafted
Also your article you keep referring to only has a one line soundbite that basically just says yea Jimmy Johnson thought big guys on the offensive line is the way to go

Might want to check that again. You will see that the '09 New England defense looked somewhat different when compared to the '07 and '08 New England defense. They did not have Teddy Bruschi, Richard Seymour, or Rodney Harrison.

Brady knows he sucks too that’s why he always takes a pay cut

09 pats was the worst team of the Brady-Belicheck era. Plus Brady was shaky as hell in the pocket after his ACL tear the previous year
