Arpaio was pardoned, meaning any conviction he was pardoned for is stricken off his record.

If Trump merely commuted his sentence, he would still have the conviction, just had his sentence shortened.

According to the law, Sheriff Joe is a law abiding citizen with a clean record. Technically, he always was, he was just railroaded by an activist judiciary.

He peaked early. Supposed to get the rap sheet during your congressional tenure, not before.

That's not correct. There are currently four convicted criminals running on the GOP ticket this year.

Democrats have one.

Good. His rhetoric is bad for the party.

Don't matter E...He won't beat that McSally fighter pilot gal in the Primary anyway; She is every bit the scrapper that Joe is...and a lot younger...with a lot less baggage. And pretty.

I'm pretty sure the former governor of La left prison, and then announced his candidacy for a congressional seat

And was a democratic, btw

Didn't stop Edwin Edwards from running for Congress after over a decade in federal prison.

Hope he stays in. His being in the race helps McSally by splitting the vote with Kelly Ward.

I don't like Sheriff Joe but he was pardoned and can run. Just as Bradley Manning can run.
