he will ALWAYS love football and mentoring kids

but just from his personal life as of late, he really seems to be enjoying time with his kids and traveling with his daughter for softball. Beth works with his daughter

I personally don't see him wanting to jump into that stress again. The man is set for life. Les NEEDS to enjoy his family and relax, he's deserved it

Absolutely he does. The real question is does anyone want Les Miles. He absolutely killed his career after the 2015 season when he promised to change the offense after almost losing his job. When 2016 rolled out and he didnt change anything, no one wanted to waste their time on someone who refuses to adapt to the game.

If I were him, I’d wait til my buyout was paid, take a low pressure, well paying job, improve that program, and retire in Baton Rouge so my presence reminded everyone of how epic I was.

I don't know about Les Miles, but up here in Knoxville, we have asked that same question about Phil Fulmer and asked it repeatedly.

What happened this fall that brought PF back to UT makes me think that there is a puppet master somewhere with a hell of a sense of humor.

Now that that puppetmaster has placed PF, maybe he'll find a ETSU equivalent where Miles can do something until the puppetmaster decides what comes next.

Never ever say never in college football

why should he when he is guaranteed $10 million a year for what, 7 more years i think? i would sit on the couch and enjoy life too if i was him, we are paying him to retire as a rich man living the good life so that is exactly what he is doing

that said, i think he misses coaching but no one would ever hire him because he has shown he is not trust worthy to run anything other then his same old fashioned stale tired offense and will never change

Certainly there is a want for a real quality opportunity, one in which there would exist the superstructure of a room with great men, and a real chance to compete for championships at the back end of the season. You betcha.

You're asking the wrong question. Does any P5 school want Les Miles. The answer is clearly NO.

He had top level talent and facilities and underachieved, why would someone with a lesser talent base and facilities want him.

No real interest in Miles. He can't speak in a complete thought.

Miles makes $130K a month to do nothing. He records his podcast, occasionally goes on college coaching shows, and watches his kids’ sporting events.

I can assure you, once the money runs out he’ll return to coaching. But I think he’s completely justified in collecting a free check from LSU until every red cent is paid to him.

Agreed. He's got whatever buyout is coming. Anything he makes in coaching gets deducted from the buyout. At that point, he's essentially coaching for free. No thanks.

Why do you think Hugh Freeze's name was brought up for Miles' OC at Arizona? Given RichRod was fired after his sexual shenanigans there and given Freeze hired hookers, no way Freeze would fly at Arizona.

Once Miles made it known he was interested in Arizona (to make it look like he wants to coach to satisfy buyout requirements) and once Arizona expressed interest in Miles, someone threw Freeze's name out there to make sure Arizona lost interest. That can't be coincidental. Miles isn't that stupid to think Freeze could work there as his OC.
