Driving yesterday on a two lane country road in the rain. Every time I passed one of these assholes with super bright lights I gripped the steering wheel and hung on for life, completely blinded.

If you have these you suck

It's the retarded fricks who put the aftermarket ones on their jacked up truck. The bulbs aren't reflector bulbs and they don't aim them down.

They're technically illegal in LA but I've never heard of it being enforced.

Yep, but only because I'm in a small arse car. When I drove a truck they never bothered me because I sat up higher. Biggest ones I have a problem with are the ones who have those LED light bars

They need too..its dangerous and yes it's always a 5"6" douche with a small penis and a lifted F250 super duty with a Yeti sticker that lives in a trailer park or rents and parks in the front yard because the carport has a broken four-wheeler, multiple trash cans and rusted out barbecue pit in it,

They’re awful. I always have to look down and drive using the lines on the road for reference til they pass.

I have mild cataracts. Regular headlights don't affect me, but led headlights look like a supernova coming at you. This is what I see:

No more beer runs after dark.

No, but the new blue lights on police vehicles definitely do. They are a significant safety issue.

a big part of this is guys in trucks with even just a leveling kit, not adjusting their headlights

my truck was leveled and i started getting flashed a good bit....I adjusted the aim of the beam down a little and now only get flashed by low cars every now and then

You probably know this, but to deal with oncoming bright lights you should look down at the solid line on the right edge of your lane. Focus on that until the a-hole passes you.

Truth.
My father, RIP, taught me this lesson when I was a young driver. I use this technique and have taught it to my children.

To be fair Sylvania has a ton of radio ads right now for their headlamps. One is the wife correcting the husband saying they help see further instead of farther.

Yeah, I hate driving at night unless there are street lights especially if it's raining or the road is wet. Seems to make it worse.

Same here on all accounts. Our pops are probably having a beer together.

This reads like you took inventory going out the door.

Did he teach you something about lining up the center line of the hood with the solid right line to keep the car centered in the lane? I never researched this one but I use it!

What about ones that come stock from a dealership? One of our vehicles is a Sonata that came with these stock. Every single night I have people flashing me with their brights...not my fault and I'm not paying money to change them.
