Twice in the last 6 months I've ordered something as a Prime member and it took over 4 days before it was shipped and then over a week to get to me. I thought one of the benefits Prime provides is expedited shipping?

Wait, what exactly is the complaint here?
Anecdotal evidence that you don’t get as good service as those who pay a premium to get good service? Especially as you probably got the cheapest shipping option available to you
And I bet if you had a quick turnaround, you would have a thread mocking those who spend such a large fee for basically the same service, and we were all sheep to fall for it.

This happened to me on a lot of orders so I called and complained. They ended up refunding me my whole prime membership, which I then used to pay for my next year of prime

What is getting annoying with Amazon is how much isn’t even sold by them. It’s just “certified.”
All of my problems have come from these 3rd party sellers.

I think people assume everything prime is two day. They tell you when you will get out before you buy it.

That definitely happens sometimes... call and complain and they will at a minimum give you a partial refund of your Prime fee.

As a prime member, prime items get free priority shipping.

Also, my wife ordered something that was supposed to arrive Sunday. I went to check the mail yesterday and it still wasn't here. She told me that the tracking showed it was delayed, and for some reason it was in Orlando instead of Birmingham. Got put on the wrong truck or plane. Last night it went from Orlando, to Kentucky, and then here, and is out for delivery. Basically overnighted it from there once they realized the messup.

It hasn't happened to me too often. When it has happened, it has been on things that I've ordered on a Friday or Saturday so I just chalked it up to ordering on the weekend. It's kind of annoying but the free shipping pays for itself quickly. I also noticed I didn't get charged tax this time.

Just got off the phone with the customer service guy.
He said verbatim:
IF WE HAD CHANGED THE STATUS TO SHIPPED LAST WEEK IT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO YOU TOO SOON FOR YOUR FREE SHIPPING SELECTION.
also said its in a 'limbo' status now that can't be expedited nor can it be cancelled. seriously.
WTF amazon.

That means it's a third-party seller, as opposed to Amazon directly. Definitely more prone to shipping issues that way.

If they treated your packages the same as prime packages no one would have prime. Don't be dumb, CAD.
