The true freshman who took his job (permanently) and won a natty praises God, eloquently breaks down the game winning play, and shows humility.

Hurts can only muster ‘I just tole him to do his thang’.

How in the hell has Saban been starting this half wit for so long? The other kid is better in every way possible.

how do you want Hurts to say anything eloquent when he's on the verge of tears? classless move from ESPN.

the incessant god shite is just as bad

Jeez man. Hurts said all the right things and you bash him because he didn't speak as well as you think he should?

Hurts handled that about as well as you can hope. This is a shitty post.

Wtf

Hurts handle that interview with a lot a class

No reason to knock him for it

Sure he’s not the greatest QB but seems like a perfectly good young man

I'm sure the OP would have known how to be eloquent when he was 20 years old on national television on one of the toughest nights of his life I'd imagine.

I couldn't agree more. Tua is going places. He just did the unprecedented on the largest stage as a true freshman and is as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Hurts turns his cap sideways with his dreads and his tongue stuck out tells me all I need to know about who the future QB is at Alabama. Hurts did show great class the entire second half and I give him much credit for that.

This is now Tua's team.'

He's a 20 year old kid and being himself in a time of personal adversity instead of giving the standard, banal Jesus trope. Give him a damn break.

Honestly

He knew they were going to ask the obvious and I'm sure would have preferred being anywhere else at that moment

If I was in Hurts' position, I would have been bitter and crying my eyes out. He handled the worst day of his life better than I ever could have.
