Les got screwed

We fired a coach that took us to two championship games for a backstabbing shrimp boat captain. I wish Miles could have adapted because he really was a great coach that got fired because he couldn't fire Cam. I cant even envision O building a team like Miles did in 2011. This whole thing has been a dumpster fire from the very start.

Leslie sucked. He screwed himself and the whole team. How hard is it to have a team that can include the forward pass? Leslie is an absolute dufus.

Tiger fans got screwed. Les got like $10MM. I'd love to get screwed like that.

O is just a typical Louisiana politician who will be hiring his buds and running this state/program into the ground.

That dufus has more NFL players credited to him then just about anyone and went undefeated heading into a championship and won another. How many teams were undefeated this year?

If that applies to les I would like to hear your description of O and his program management so far.
O should be getting Les' coffee every morning.

Just the one true champion.

I was ready for miles to go because I thought with the defensive staff we had that O would do what Les wouldn’t. I was certain he would hire a top OC and leave him be. I felt he would be about equal as a recruiter and imo we were an OC and good qb coach away from another championship. I believed O despite what happened at ole miss because it was a dumpster fire of a program then. Well I guess I was gullible

No. He was stubborn. A big difference. A dufus doesn't win a championship and take you to another.

Les started this shite putting the program in a downward spiral.

1-9-12 was his Waterloo. Neither henor the program recovered from his moronic game plan and decisions that day.

I think Les' buyout was $9,000,000 over six years. Assuming that's in equal monthly payments, it's $125,000 per month. For six years.
That kind of money can soothe almost any pain.

He got what he deserved. I had sympathy for Mac but not for Miles.

Young Lady,
I logged on just to give you a down vote. O is actually recruiting lineman again, much as I liked Les, it lead to his ouster. Couldn't play his style w/o the hogs upfront.
The melt doesn't help with our recruiting. This negative crap is one of the reassons people aren't enjoying game day as much. Stop living in the past, support all of our athletic teams

I think it was all part of the bigger plan by Alleva and above;
In order to compete with Alabama, they were going to have to pony up some serious money to upgrade the offense, and even then nothing is guaranteed. The powers that be didn't think the risk was worth it.
If you allow the program to backslide, you can't keep Miles there, because he's demonstrated that he can win titles with the right resources. It becomes obvious that the problem is that the school has stopped paying for those resources.
So, how do you address that? You can do several things: you can do some serious character assassination on Miles, so that fans forget he was the winningest coach in the history of the program (during a period when the program was facing it's stiffest competition), and then you get rid of Miles altogether for that; and then you bring in someone with a far lesser resume, Orgeron. With O, the 9 win season isn't seen as a big failure of a season, it's actually his single best season as a coach, so you can tout that as both "we've made a change" and "this was a successful season".

Les screwed himself, No doubt about it! He also was doing the "good ole boy", hire my buddies approach and wouldn't fire them. He failed to have his OC open up the offense and let his studs do work, out of fear! It was time to move on, just didn't see LSU/alleva hiring a man that no one, NO ONE would hire as a HC.

Let me make it simple for you: Miles needed to go. Orgeron did not need to be named head coach.
The only people getting screwed are the fans, who have had to settle for mediocrity the last six seasons.

I love these posts. You act like O got Miles fired. Miles got Miles fired. Miles was given an ultimatum to change the offense, didn’t, and got fired. Do you not remember how these events unfolded??
Jesus.
Jesus.
