Anyone watch this? Four episode series, featuring Kenner's Star Wars, Hasbro's GI Joe, Mattel's Barbie, and Mattel's Masters of the Universe.

I tried to watch it and quickly realized I'm not enough of a nerd to sit through an entire episode of people talking about toys. It does seem like a good watch for anyone into that sort of thing, though.

I watched the Star Wars episode and was thoroughly entertained. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Binged it. Loved it.
Especially with how they came up with Battle Cat

I didn’t know it was broken down by episodes.
I guess the Barbie picture kept me out.
Now that I know there is an episode dedicated to Star Wars toys which was my childhood in the late 70’s and early 80’s, I will be watching that one this evening.
Probably my favorite Christmas memory as a kid was sneaking down the hall on Christmas Eve and seeing this beautiful bastard fully assembled in the glow of the Christmas Tree lights:

I plan on watching the He-Man episode. Never got into the other toys listed.

Uh yeah. It was fricking awesome and I may watch the He-Man one again. I skipped Barbie but I'll probably watch it too.
I loved it. Perfect length for each episode too. Star Wars felt like the most informative, He-Man the funniest and GI-Joe was the one that I actually could've watched at least another hour on.
Have they listed who the next four are yet?
I'm guessing Transformers, Cabbage Patch, Care Bears and its a toss up on number 4. Thundercats? MASK? Superpowers? My Little Pony(That would make 3 of the 4 girl toys though).
I hope its not TMNT. They weren't really 80's toys.

That he-man crew was the shite
And that Barbi lady who sent in the undercover operatives to find out about Jem was a badas.
And Kenner was a dumbass for not writing that $10k check to Lucas

There was a thread of people arguing about if or did star wars take a step back in its cultural popularity and the star wars episode essentially confirms there was a "dark period" where kids didnt buy or care about star wars. Pretty good episode.

I've watched them minus Barbie and can relate being a kid of 70s and early 80s. Had many of the Star Wars and little GI Joes but my little bro and I were serious about He Man. When the parents put their foot down at Castle Greyskull, I made an impressive copy for him.
In the mid 70s I remember having big GI Joes, Evel Knievel dolls and the forgotten Space 1999 set with 5" figures!

I watched the Star Wars one last night and really enjoyed it. Its crazy what Kenner managed to pull off (and at a crazy price) and then how Mattel managed to botch everything over a $10,000 payment

Star Wars and He-MAN episodes were top notch. So much in my time frame. Wonder if they are going to do one on those trucks that were huge, Stompers!

Caught the masters of the universe one....nostalgic boner
I always thought the cartoon preceded the toys, so that was an interesting story

Do they talk about Mighty Max

I loved Star Wars toys as a kid. Santa brought me the Falcon, an At-At, and all the fighters in the early 80s.
My dream was the Death Star playset, though.
St Nick never brought me that one, but I've been tempted to ask Ebay.

I watched the Masters of the universe one finally. Wow! Very entertaining and it was crazy seeing all the toys I had growing up. Made me sad that Katrina took those damn things!
