This is a once-in-a-century opportunity for our state and our country, and Wisconsin is ready," said Walker at the time of the announcement. Construction on the facility is expected to break ground in 2018.

The jobs are expected to pay about $53,000 a year. Walker vowed it would give Wisconsin its own version of Silicon Valley.

But the low unemployment in the state has some existing businesses worried that the plant, which could employ up to 13,000 workers, will make it that much harder for them to find workers. Unemployment in Wisconsin is just 3.2%, near its record low. The entire state has only 102,000 unemployed workers.

CNN: Foxconn Plant

I think CNN is tired of all the winning. Are you?

Aside from the fake numbers that this costing the US and Wisconsin taxpayers $4 Billion dollars (it's not), then yes that's the take away.

Perhaps if Wisconsin would let people from other states into their state to work this Gordian knot of a problem could be fixed.

CNN complaining about Trump success, lol.

But to the point, this is where immigration comes in. Work visas should increase if unemployment dips, to avoid a worker shortfall.

IN an ideal world, food stamps would be rolled back and limited to only those with medical ailments that are unable to work, forcing the degenerates to get off their arse and get a job. If that was the case, then the need for migrant workers would be lower and America would prosper like we've never seen.

But alas, the Democrats need slaves on their plantation. If they had meaningful employment, then the left wouldn't have anything to blame the Republicans for.

CNN is reporting legitimate criticisms of a deal. They're also reporting that the deal is creating jobs. Would you rather a news agency that only reports on the positive aspects?

Using tax cuts and environmental regulation changes to increase the number?

The only real costs shown in the article are $400 million in road construction, and $140 in electrical upgrades. It's not clear if the $246 million in federal road dollars is included in the $400M.

So $540-786M as opposed to the $4 Billion they're touting.

when it is specific to them? yeah...not sure why those numbers shouldn't be included

and sounds like classic crony capitalism as well

CNN’s headline is positive, as is the overall tone of the report. Foxconn got a really good deal from Wisconsin. And it's getting better

And your reaction is to bitch about one line or two lines in the story? What more do you crybabies want?

Give tax cuts, get jobs and longterm foreign investment.

Don't give tax cuts, get nothing.
