Why don’t you call him?

From all the things you don’t hear or see from Canada, I’m thinking he is gone. Haven’t seen anything on him recruiting. Coach O is very quiet about him. I think his replacement is in the wings. Announcement comes after the bowl game.
This.....

Does Canada usually recruit? I really am asking, I have no idea if he leaves it up to other coaches to get what he needs (a la Chavis) or if he recruits players himself.
If I had to guess, I would assume he does, if he has aspirations to be a HC one day but again, I really have no idea.

How much do we owe him if he is in fact fired? We've been spending buyout money out of the arse on fired coaches the past few seasons. It sucks.
His buyout should be paid out of Orgeron's contract. If the "one of us" head coach thinks he can play revolving chairs with his coordinators he's badly mistaken.

Got this off DandyDon a week or so ago

I want to pass along that Canada was recruiting for LSU last week in California, and it appears that his efforts might have been fruitful. One of the prospects Canada reportedly visited was four-star pro-style quarterback Matt Corral, a Florida commit, and SEC Country is now reporting that Corral is considering a visit to LSU.
I'm not sure what to make of Canada's situation but the fact that Matt Corral signed with Ole Miss is bit disturbing & surely raises a question or two.
Q. Who can Canada recruit if he can't beat out Ole Miss
Q. Did Matt Corral get a new Charger?

Canada could be gone after the bowl game.

If Canada actually gets fired as opposed to him quitting, how stupid can you get? Tell Orgeron and Canada, two millionaires, to get over it. I’m sorry orgeron can’t run his glory day old school USC offense that would get shut down. Give me the innovative shifts, jet sweep threat, and triple option looks. People hating on the jet sweeps need to realize two were very explosive plays in the Auburn and Florida games that we don’t win without. Not to mention we got more yards this year against Bama with our OL this year than the last 2 years, but yeah, let’s fire him. Good lord

Until he leaves, he isn’t leaving. This board is frustratingly stupid at times.

Rumor on the other site is that Canada gone after bowl game, Steve Ensminger will be announced OC according to Lazar

I’m pretty sure my buddy said Shea Dixon claims he thinks Canada is staying

I think he has said that. These situations are very fluid, though. So much smoke here. When you add it all up, it's believable. He's either a bad recruiter or he's not recruiting.

I’m curious why so many posters are actually mad about Canada leaving? His history shows he doesn’t stay anywhere for long. O has stated he’s looking for a HC job.
It’s not unusual for a new coach to make changes to the staff early in his tenure. I’d much rather Canada leave now, rather than hold onto him for one more season. No way is Canada here in 2019.
Get a new OC now. The offense is going to be young for the next couple of years. Bring in an OC that is going to be with them for the next 3-4 years, especially the QBs.
That’s the better option than trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole and squeeze one more year out of a coach.

People that are still upset about the Orgeron hiring.....it all boils down to that. Regardless of how they feel about what Canada did in his first year, they might possibly hate him, but a highly paid coordinator leaving after one year, that's all on O and it's more fuel for their fire.

Bad example. We never even offered Corral. Baldwin either.

What is it about Canada’s offense specifically that makes him not fit here?

Thanks I stand corrected....certainly isn't the first time won't be the last.

I think he's talking about the personality differences between Canada and CEO. Both had to be called into the principles office for fighting after the Troy game. Apparently that fight is irreconcilable.

Not sure but he is telling everyone in U Club that he and Orgeron hate each other and havent spoken in weeks.

Because we will have to hear excuses when we look like shite early next season about how our players dont know the system and it will be ok by week 6. Turnover is not good for a perennially mediocre to bad offensive team!!
