When it comes to Orgeron vs Canada, give me Canada or give me death.

I think he's talking about the personality differences between Canada and CEO. Both had to be called into the principles office for fighting after the Troy game. Apparently that fight is irreconcilable.

If Canada is indeed pushed out because Orgeron can't play nice with a guy who actually knows what the frick is going on on the offensive side of the ball, I honestly won't even know what to say. But at least in that instance he and his sycophants will have ample excuses for another listless 8-9 win regular season. Jah willing Canada sticks around and our offense takes a step forward next year. I'll reserve my melt until I hear otherwise.

What is it about Canada’s offense specifically that makes him not fit here?

It's not his offense. He keeps getting jobs because his of his offense. He keeps changing jobs because of other things, mainly his personality.

2017 LSU OFFENSE

54th—Total Offense

72nd—Scoring Offense

100th—Red Zone Offense

That’s knowing what’s going on on the offensive side of,the ball? That’s accceptable production for $1.5 million? I have been accused of being some huge O supporter, which is laughable. If anything, I know he has to have great coordinators, and what we got from Canada was not great, it wasn’t even good. It was poor. Don’t get caught up in the “eye-candy” as Saban called it. Look at the objective numbers—they sucked. No matter how many jet sweeps and pre-motion shifts you wrap them up in.

We are losing our 5th year Senior, 23-year-old starting quarterback who had over 20starts going into this year and replacing him with one of two 2nd year, 19-year-olds who will have had zero. And we are losing by far our 4 best skill position players in Guice, Chark, Williams, and Gage, and replacing them with a bunch of dudes who could barely get on the field this year. What in the world, from what we saw this year, makes you confident our offense will take a step forward next year? Especially one significant enough to justify the 1.5 million?

Obvioiusly, it’s not ideal to replace a coordinator after just 1srason. But the more egregious mistake is to compound it by letting it continue. If Canada is a bad fit philosophically, personality-wise, or just straight production-wise, it is best to identify the mistake and work quickly to correct it rather than ignoring it and letting it fester into something even worse.

His track record speaks for itself. I'm not going to write Canada's obituary after his first year, especially when the offense improved as the year went along (and Orgeron was told to back the frick away). I'm also not saying he was some kind of epiphany or offensive sage. I just think it would be ideal that he get another year of his system with the players we have coming back and coming in. I'd rather that than start the whole thing over again next year and already start the revolving door of coordinators.

We should have a great offensive line and Brennan, who is immensely more physically talented than Etling, will be in his 2nd full season learning the system and should be able to step forward. Yeah, I'm concerned about the lack of a sure-fire dependable RB, but I think a great OL can help mask that. I'm tired of excusing lack of progress due to new personnel. Apparently LSU is the only school that ever replaces good players.

What exactly is O's offensive philosophy and what in your mind wouldn't conflict with that philosophy? I think we've gotten to the heart of the problem here.

Further, if Canada is some kind of pariah that butts heads everywhere he goes and doesn't mesh with whatever kind of offense Orgeron has in mind for the program, why the shite did Orgeron hire him to begin with?

Hiring Ensminger as OC is taking a step backwards and letting it fester even more.

There are concerns, sure. Red flags is a bit of a stretch - there's still much we don't know about what happened this offseason, but he objectively has battled various injuries this season. I'm glad my posts have stuck with you though

Also, way to totally skirt the issue of Canada having personality issues. Do we have any proof of that or are we just going to roll with it? And whose fault is it for hiring an OC who can't work with anyone, assuming it's even true?

People hating on the jet sweeps need to realize two were very explosive plays in the Auburn and Florida games that we don’t win without.

We played great against Auburn, but 7 of our points came on a punt return. And we only scored 17 points against the worst Florida team I can remember and almost lost because we scored zero points in the last 25 minutes of that game. Florida went 4-7 this year and fired their coach, and the ONLY team to score less points against them all year was UAB. And that game is supposed to be some feather in Canada’s cap? Gtfo. There are other ways to score basides jet fricking sweeps.

Not to mention we got more yards this year against Bama

We had 300 yards and 10 points against a depleted Bama defense in a game we were never in any danger of winning? What a strange, moral-victory standard you are settling for. That same offensive performance would not have been tolerable under our previous regime. Why such lowered standards?

Ensminger was better in 2016 than Canada was in 2017. That said, I absolutely want no part in Ensminger as OC and will be 1st in line to criticize the hire if it happens. Though I would be really surprised if it does.

Why would he leave ? He is making 1.5million. It has never been about him wanting to leave, it's up to LSU and Coach O.
If he stays.

There’s no head job for him to take...so unless he’s making a lateral move to a school as OC, he’s here to stay.
