People who choose to not have kids

First let me say I don't think there's anything morally wrong or unethical about choosing to not have kids. However, something just seems "off" when a healthy, young adult espouses that they definitely aren't going to have kids and have no desire to have kids.
We all got here through a miraculous sequence of events. The elements of the universe lined up just right to allow the creation of our species. Our ancestors overcame famine, wars, disease, etc in order to pass the torch from generation to generation.
People who say they aren't having kids are basically saying everything their ancestors went through and ovecame to allow their existence were so that they could enjoy ~80 easy years watching Netflix, going to Whole Foods, and keeping up with what their friends are doing on Facebook. Thats what this whole thing we call reality has been about - its culmination is your weak little coddled life where you get to be happy and content without any responsibility but to make sure you stay happy and content. Your ancestors traversed oceans, survived the Black Plague, and killed others so you could watch Gilmore Girls and eat ice cream straight from the box.

You nailed it. They’re the worst.

Some people realize they would not be good parents and love their future kids enough to not have them.

We should be encouraging more people to not have kids. Especially ones who have no business raising them.

Cancer runs in my family. Do not want to go through that or even have a chance of it.
I can use that money I would have spent on my own child to help others who choose to have kids unwisely.
EDIT: Specifically my niece and nephew

I wish more people would choose not to have kids, especially when we have to subsidize them.

I'd take a moment of silence to thank them, but twitter is going nuts right now.

Belle, how many kids do you have?

I love kids but don’t really want any on my own.

Can't just let some people be happy eh?
Some people are more than satisfied with being each other's number one.

It's just something they say to cover up ED and impotence.

The root cause of a great majority of the world's problems is overpopulation.
Just let them die off and help.

I said the same thing when I was younger and single. Also when I first got married. Now I'm 42 and have 2 kids.

You are putting too much thought into this. If a couple decides they do not want kids, then that is their decision. They have their reasons, which is between the two of them and they owe no one an explanation.
Why does that both you?
What about people who decide to remain single and never have kids?

None.

It is a mental defect.
And I'll get skewered for saying that, but we all have defects. I have plenty of mental defects.
But going against a biological imperative is surely signs of a mental defect.
