1. Why not just tell Poe about Laura Derns real plan instead of practically killing him when he demands to know whats going on? Whats with the big secret? Seems like a really good idea to let people know theyre going to be alright.

Because stupidity. I guess she figured he would disobey her anyways or that they had a mole on the ship, but there really is no good reason other than "to teach him a lesson". It's straight up idiotic.

quote:

2. Poe/Rose/Finn obviously dont know about the Dern real plan to use the transports to escape to the (conveniently located) planet. This is the whole reason they go off to the casino planet and hook up with Benicio. Given this, how can Benicio possibly know about the escape plan (and sell it to the First Order?)

He didn't sell it to the first order, he sold out the plan to disable their tracking. The First Order figured out the Dern plan on their own because it was idiotic.

3. If the Maid of Tarth's armor can deflect blaster bolts, why arent all the storm troopers wearing it?

Because it only deflected blasters to set up an unnecessary standoff. She wasn't blaster proof in the last movie.

The Last Jedi had so many dumb plot holes like this, it's pretty sickening for a movie with so many straight up great moments.

known by Finn or Rose? At what point? Why would they continue thier extremely risky mission to disable the tracker?
I got it wrong. It wasn't until the guy overheard Finn talking to Poe.

Scared of spies?

He didn't know he assumed and informed the first order of the possibility.

Plot hole.

Biggest plot hole...
If flying a large ship at hyperspace does so much damage, and they obviously left the captains on the ships to die. (Scene of medical frigate captain dying) how come they didn't just send the ships into hyperspace sooner and buy time?

Hell why were the Death Stars even threats. Alderaan should have just sent a cruiser into hyperspace through the Death Star and saved three movies.

The ultimate weapon in the galaxy is.....Hyperspace.

Also, let's talk about "running out of fuel"'

In our primitive times our largest naval vessels go decades before "refuelling". This is a world where intergalactic space travel is over 10,000 years old.

Fuel? When there were reactors in previous movies.
The Falcon can sit in a desert for a decade and still fly everywhere with no fear of fuel loss, yet frigates lose power and begin sinking in space?

Leia who has a minimal amount of training can survive in space, but Palpatine who is stronger than all of the Skywalkers can't survive getting chucked down an elevator shaft

While this whole movie pisses me off, especially the Leia scene, she wouldn't freeze to death instantly due to low heat transfer in a vacuum. She would go unconscious first, so the point is moot.

Or Mace out a window after defeating the emperor.

Likely the emperor did survive the fall, just not the explosion.

Only thing I can think of is they wanted to make sure absolutely nobody knew about it just in case they had a traitor among them

I Imagine that suit costs a shite ton of money so making several hundred thousand or millions of those would get pricey

And just do this via droid or drone. No reason anyone had to even be on board to execute the kamikaze mission.

That was really stupid. Not as stupid as Leia in space, but stupid.

I thought that scene was her goodbye.
Would have been nice. Then have it upset Kylo. He even cries. Snoke taunts him and that makes him kill.Snoke.

If the force allows you to bring objects toward you, then Force users should be able to fly no problem. This has always been an issue.

because the Death Star wasn't just a weapon. It was a mobile headquarters for the Empire. Having that is a lot more efficient and cost friendly than building a shite ton of ships to just fly into planets

Leia in space bothers me. Because space is so cold, water freezes instantly. Every cell in her body would have frozen before she even knew where she was.

and if the cold dont get ya, (thanks force!), the infinite vacuum will!

or i guess the force stopped her lungs, guts and eyeballs from instantly exploding
