Most of us don't particularly like some of his tactics or many of his moments on Twitter, but they are effective for the most part, and he is forcing needed change in Washington and this country that is long overdo. My 401k is killing it, I'll get some tax relief, there is some semblance of immigration enforcement, and ISIS is being decimated, there is a conservative Supreme Court, and it may become even more so.
Some criticism against him is warranted, but considering the media's constant barrage of negativity and the "muh Russians" witch-hunt, it's only natural that he strengthened and grew his base.

I know a few that went the opposite. They were convinced his campaign rhetoric was just that, campaign speech and he would tone it all down once he won.

Count me as one who laughed when he joined the race, didn't support him in the primaries, considered a third party vote, but ended up voting for him.

Trump was not my number 1 choice in primary. He was a cross my fingers and vote for president.
But since elections, his judicial nominations and EOs have been home runs!

I wouldn't doubt it. Remember during the campaign hoe many people were lying to pollsters about tgeir support of Trump? They basically told them what they wanted to hear because they didn’t want to deal with they nut jobs on the other side. When they they went to vote though is when they made their support known. Same thing is happening here. Trump supporters don’t want to deal with the unhinged lunatics, so they are again keeping their support to themselves. Nothing has changed except the level of hatred the left has for all things Trump. That includes hatred for his supporters as well.
