Untreated 4x4 post --- where the hell do I find one?

I'm going to build a new kitchen table and chairs soon and have everything except the 4x4's that I will end up using for the legs. I can't find an untreated 4x4 anywhere near me. I've searched and called all the lumber stores around me and nobody carries them untreated. Can't paint or stain treated lumber!
I'm in the BR area.

Home Depot. Never use treated indoors, good call.
If u cannot find 4x4, just rip and glue up to get a 4x4 post.

try the aisle with untreated lumber on it at Lowes or Home Depot
in all seriousness, I've bought untreated 4X4s from West Side Lumber.

Call Lowe's on Millerville. They have a decent untreated wood selection

What kind of wood? Go to a wood craft shop and get long planks of rough cut.

Home Depot sells untreated Douglas Fir 4x4s. If they're not in stock just order them online and pick them up or have them delivered. There's got to be other lumber yards like Service Lumber, 84 Lumber, or Westside Lumber that sell them.
I assume you're using 4x4s for the table legs and not chair legs right?

I tried finding some untreated 4x4s in the Baton Rouge area once for a project I was working on and had absolutely no luck. The local lumber stores all told me you had to have them special cut from a lumber yard. If you do by chance happen to locate some in the area please let us know where you found them.

youre best bet is to find an actual lumber yard as some others have said. I make a good bit of stuff with untreated 4x4s that I buy from a local lumber company here in Jackson. The only ones I've seen in lowes have been cedar, I believe.
Also as others have said they are always bowed. Try to find the straightest ones you can find, and try to not buy any with the heart of the tree dead center because those usually bend worse than others.

Try the businesses that sell the big expensive cedar playground equipment. Western Red Ceder isnt treated and already kiln dried. They have 4x4s.
