He’s down bad for not claiming the tax benefit on the housing expense. That’s pretty unfair.
But as far as making inmates, you know people who have harmed others, pay back society in the form of service to people who protect others. I am good.
And as for the transportation for his wife, last time I checked she is a citizen of this state. I’ve seen more than my fair share of emotionally disturbed people and addicits use patrol for rides to the hospital and other places for bullshite reasons.
Edmon’s greatest magic act easily is the generous across the board pay raise he secured for his entire agency during lame duck Jindal’s final year, you know, the one where the looming state budget shortfall from dropping oil price revenue we all knew was coming. 100k salaries for highway patrolman is truly amazing.

Could you imagine the amount of trash his wife had to look at all day coming and going from the DMV in her front yard

I know someone who has done significant time in a federal penitentiary for this exact offense on a much much smaller scale.

WOW!!!! They need to lock him up and throw away the keys for that one! This bullshite smells like a witch-hunt. Who gives a frick??? This man did a hell of a lot of good things above and beyond the call of duty. Take the witch hunt and stick it up their asses.
The taxpayers of Louisiana, who read stuff like this and tell the state to go to hell on badly needed infrastructure taxes, because it just sounds like it's ending up in politician's pockets.

Next time I’m in LA and a need a DD for a 45 minute ride, I’ll just hop in with a state trooper, right?

I hear those toll road execs over in DFW ain't always on the up and up either.
Yeah it's absurd we still pay tolls when they're paid for, but they're nice and they mantain them like crazy. Something Louisianans can't say about their roads.

frick that.. He abused the system and needs to pay back any money that was spent on these benefits.. He also needs to amend his tax returns to show the fringe benefits he received or face tax evasion charges.
Public service employees dont get a pass just because they did some good things
