He could easily get out of that if he wanted. Deontay Anderson just did.

I’ll take him if he wears a normal QB number

The Do Not Want crowd are very likely immature and don't understand how the world works.

Deciding where to play is a big decision for elite players. They want to play a lot and increase their chances of getting drafted.

No reason to act like a jilted lover if a player doesn't choose LSU. College football is a business. There are a lot of other good football programs out there, and LSU isn't going to get every player on our wish list.

If the circumstances changes (for the player or the school he picked), he needs to make a change. Not a thing wrong with that.

I'd welcome Patterson with open arms.

Ross is misinformed. Players and parents have been anticipating for some time now that they would be released from scholarship to transfer by semester's end.

I don't think you fully comprehend the collateral damage that the bowl ban and that level of scholarship reduction has, esp to a team trying to compete in the SEC West

Just trust me on this. If the sanctions are as stated in the other thread, they are severe enough to cause the intended damage.

Look how long USC has been out of the national championship picture, even with the media's full blown attempt to prop them up.

ESPN’s Ed Aschoff believes any player would win an appeal to transfer and be eligible immediately

I'm not in the jilted lover crowd but still don't want.

Taking him basically guarantees 1 if not both Narcisse and Brennan to transfer.

Yes - this current bowl season counts as Bowl Ban 1 and next year is Bowl Ban 2
So only current Juniors can transfer for their Senior season.
Sounds bogus

His brother worked at LSU during recruitment. Brother left for OM and tried to steal other recruits, Playbooks etc. His dad is a POS who shopped the kid to the highest bidder. It's not jilted lover more like don't want any part of a crack whore.

Why can’t you just fall in line with the lazy, uninformed opinion that the rest of the rant has??? Nobody wants Shea’s ONLY because he committed to ole miss and not LSU

While he may be a good QB, the dude is a front running, arrogant kid who comes from a shady family... I don’t want him anywheres near LSU’s football team.. but that’s just my opinion though

Do you know how quickly the situation these ole miss guys were exposed to can become systemic? Keep them all way far away from LSU...

We need none of it

I understand character. There is more to consider than just whether a player has football talent or not.

Well, he will be disappointed if he comes to LSU intending to wear #20, again.

Shifting gears, what about the other Ole Miss QB?

Jordan Ta'amu does not need a waiver and does not carry family baggage.

If allowed to transfer, he would likely go to an LSU rival before coming here, but should he want to transfer to LSU, the QBs on the roster would have the opportunity to compete.

Brennan was given that opportunity this past season, and couldn't earn significant time over a weaker arm that was an awkward runner.

Canada likely here for one more year. He's never stayed longer than 2 years anywhere, so I'm just not sure why anyone thinks there exists a legitimate downside to entertaining the thought of a one year transfer.

This is all mental masturbation anyway, b/c if there's one thing everyone should know about Patterson, it's that they are in it for themselves. LSU would make too much sense from a team's goals perspective. Everything's in place for success outside of proven QB play for LSU next year. And with a proven experienced OL coming back without a proven RB, the passing game would likely be used more to set up the run, which you would think should be enticing for a guy who's only concern has been showcasing his talents.
