My best friend has been bartending there for 10 yrs and I'm friends with Ms. Linda who owns the place. I go there every time I'm in BR. Great little dive bar with Golden Tee.

Port Royal has great beers on clearance from the Cove, but that bar is a f$&king ghost town. It’s always empty. My friends and I go there sometimes when we just want to drink craft beer and play pool and not have to compete for an empty table.

One of the most underrated bars in BR. Crawling with hot bitches and cheap drinks

It's where the bartenders in BR go to drink. That says something.

I like that street as well as the other bury's. Always got my eyes peelt for houses for sale in that little section of Jefferson Terrace.

I went to JT from 1st-3rd(81-83).

Cool. I was there from 84-88. I had Planchard, Lacaz, Tompanis, and Jones for teachers. Mrs. Betty Jones was awesome!

I’m guessing you both know the Torregrossa’s, LaPrairie’s and Roppolo’s. I’ve know them for 40 years.

I knew the Torregrossa’s and Roppolo’s very well. Didn’t know the LaPrairie’s personally but knew of them. (They gave me candy when I went for Trick or Treat - that’s the extent of it. )

I saw they are tearing down the old Texaco Station on the corner of Jefferson and Floynell. Anybody know what’s going on at that corner? Jefferson Lounge expanding?

Back in the day, an old fella named Crowe Peele ran that station. Nice old guy; American Indian or something I believe. Was a pretty good amateur and collegiate boxer back in the 50's. The station had that old school "ding-ding" when you drove in, and often he would come out and fill up your car like the old school full service stations. After he retired his son took it over and turned it into a rent-a-truck place. I don't know what became of it, but the place had been abandoned for awhile I think.

I like Patio Bar. I wouldn't suggest the actual patio though. Holy mosquitos.

Eh. I don't really put this on the Jefferson/ONOs/Patio Bar level. Mostly young service industry friends in there. Same people you see at other bars

It used to be a good service industry bar years ago. I went all the time about 5-10 years ago. My wife and I went there on our first date. Had multiple birthday parties there. It fell off for a while -- there was a hole in the ceiling and all the booze they had was hand me downs from the Cove. They've fixed it up since.
We live in Mid City now, so I tend to do my drinking at home, Radio Bar or Superior Grill.

I remember Crowe Peele. I wasn’t a fan. He fit the mold of the unscrupulous auto mechanic IMO.
