If you didn't have the nads 30-40 years ago to say anything and the current person your blaming can't be convicted, you don't get any attention.

It's nothing more than a personal attention scheme and political weapon at this point.

No prosecution, no care. And if you remained silent, you're complicit in any offenses occurring afterwards. If you were paid off to sign a non disclosure, you're a shitty human being

It's another byproduct of the social media-victimhood complex that has taken over modern society.

The entire reason i support it is that I want it to get out of control

Normal people already hate identity politics and PC culture. We need to make the democrats sick of it...and it’s working

so because these victims were children at the time and scared shitless you're holding that against them now?

why should i get away with a murder no one knew about just because it occurred 40 years ago?

Victimhood is now a virtue.

#MeToo is the new ice bucket challenge.

Following the #metoo in Twitter showed me it's not just about coming forward. Make no mistake some of the pushers will be looking to hold anything over any guy's head. Rose McGowan had a tweet complaining by saying "most women don't want a man's semen." She's not what I would classify as level headed.

I like seeing the victims come forward but I'm also suspicious at same time. This is something the man haters will use to accuse and batter men for any purpose to the point of even blackmail.

If anyone isn't cautious about it, do look at what happened to the duke Lacross team, Brian Banks, mattress chick and numerous others. It's a tough time and hopefully the wrongdoers are outed and punished without innocent people getting burned.

I agree it is out of hand and has been for a while.

HOWEVER, all this witch hunting and escalating standards of SJW morality that has been going on originated from the left and has been leveraged by the left as a tool that solely applies to the right.

And it was all fine and dandy when the people getting fired, shamed on social media, and their life ruined were Republicans. But now that it is impacting democratic senators and condescending Hollywood leftists, it is suddenly “whoa man not cool”. Well, frick that. SJW need to die by their own sword. That’s the only way they will learn ruining a person’s life over the tinniest infraction is wrong.

It doesn’t need to be shut down, but people need to present actual evidence if they want attention IMO

It’s just too easy to make accusations or at least embellish events and when it comes to sexual assault, it’s “guilty until you prove yourself innocent”

I agree with the exception of a child that was legitimately raped. I can't even imagine the kind of horror that causes and I completely understand why that can be repressed and never outed.

so when i was molested by an uncle when i was 11, but didn't say anything, mainly because of the shame and disgusting nature of it, until i was 33, to a therapist and then my family, i was complicit in the act?

i think if it were YOUR kid that something like this happened to, which i would hope would never happen to anyone you know, you'd probably feel a little differently....

speaking out about what happened to me was still very hard, even after all that time, and there are a multitude of reasons why i never spoke up before then... i have no physical evidence to prove that i was, so if that's the criteria to be met to be taken serious about the situation, does that mean that my family should't believe me about what happened?

this issue, at least to those of us balanced enough, isn't a political one... and this "yeah, but what about the other side" shite that both sides do, is getting very tiresome... if only y'all could channel 1/4 of the energy into preventing things like this from happening via a culture shift, as opposed to the amount of shite slinging that goes on, maybe we could have a society where this issue isn't something that can then be incorrectly portioned into a politically motivated shout speak forum

I don't know if any of these accusations are true or not, but your above statement is just retarded. How the frick would you know what it feels like to be "raped" or "assaulted" as a woman by a man in a power position? I'll answer for you - you don't.

So all those guys who got molested by Catholic priests when they were kids and waited until middle age to come forward are just looking for attention? or are they somehow different?

I’m not going to lie I have a hard time getting worked up over something that happens 40 years ago or something like that. Bring it up right before a major US election and I really don’t care. I agree with all that
