I have shot Kent 3" #3's 1 1/8 load for about 14 years (since it was the cheap option on the market, wish it still was). It has treated me well the entire time.

What type of choke you use with them? I use a Carlson’s Mid Range choke tube. Out of a M3500 Stoeger.

Been shooting fasteel since high school. Of course there's the occasional "try a box of the brand new shell" or "in a bind box of winchesters from Walmart" but I always go back to Kent.

I've been shooting the blindsides for the last couple of years with no issues.

Rio 3” #3’s 1-1/4 oz. $108 shipped a case from Able’s. Kills great and cheap. Does shoot a little dirty but dirty ain’t nothing but a word to an old Humpback Mag twelve

Not trying to be cute, but get a few boxes and pattern them in your gun.
(or rob a few from friends shooting various loads and pattern them at whatever distance you anticipate shooting.)
My old Benelli SBE was MONEY with #3's in general and good with twos. It seemed to do best with Kent then Winchester.
I'd also shoot a fair amount of Estate #2's.

My buddy swears by them. I’m going to go buy a couple box’s and give them a try. He actually shoots 3” #6 and talks highly of them.. I like #4 shot tho. He always shot #6
