I always take some turkey and make jamabalaya with it adding in some pan drippings to cook the onions down. My favorite jambalaya ever. A great cornbread dressing is my favorite though. I like boiled eggs in it and juicy as hell.

Go to the front page of this food board forum.
Open up the recipe Link at the top of the page.
Find Treedogs black eyed pea casserole recipe.
Follow said recipe and forever be the family hero.
Seriously though, we have bought it to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner the last few years and received some pretty high praise/compliments!
*Full disclosure
We do dash some of these baked onion crunch toppers thingies on there.

I hate thanksgiving food.
I usually bring dirty rice and roasted Brussels sprouts and I only eat that plus salad.

Spinach Madeline, garlic cheese grits, and white chocolate bread pudding are my Christmas contributions

An easy one that I love is bacon wrapped green beans.
Put fresh or drained can green beans in a ziploc, add soy and brown sugar, cut up bacon into halves, wrap 5 or so green beans in a piece of bacon. put on baking sheet and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or so.

I usually make Oyster and rice dressing. Will be opting for Mirliton this year. I use crawfish instead of shrimp.

And it goes well on the Friday turkey sandwich.
I'll add my mothers coleslaw.
