Have heard that there is mutual interest between Les and Tennessee.

That doesn’t seem like a great fit for UT. They have a rebuilding job to do and by the time Les could get it turned around, he could get it done

UT will use Les' "interest" as a means of telling their real targets to piss or get off the pot.

Les will see if UT is willing to pay him a enough money to make it worthwhile for him to get off the couch and LSU's dole and get back into coaching

I doubt either party is "seriously" interested.

I doubt miles is seriously interested in another high pressure job like UT would be. He seems pretty happy being the goofy personality on tv.

No offense, and I really mean it, but Miles just doesn't seem like a very intelligent person. I saw him on a sports TV spot recently (I guess it was CBS) and he picked LSU over Bama and even in a short dialogue sequence he seemed to stumble over his words. Les is a proven good coach but he sure isn't a good spokesperson and most athletic departments this day and time want coaches who are well spoken aka can do a good job in representing their universities.

Yeah, I'm not buying Miles having real interest in any coaching job. I think he's just going through the motion of fulfilling his obligations of the buyout.

I just don't see him jumping back into the fire. He seems content now with his podcast and media appearances.

I always thought the same thing but after I listened to his podcast I've changed my mind. He's actually pretty freaking smart.

This. There is a difference between being smart and being articulate.
