Yes, security or someone would have kicked them out or talked to the guy or something. I get that the ticket holder didn't want to make a fuss himself but he had the tickets and he had a right. But don't leave the game then complain later

I mean if he is causing other people that have tickets for seats to not be able to use them, they certainly have grounds for something. I can't just go lay across 3 seats and not get told something.

Now, I don't know what the resolution would have been but it would have been handled then and there.

If the guy was essentially taking up two seats, how did he fit into his seat to begin with? I mean I'm a big guy and am sometimes uncomfortable with the width of seats and almost always struggle with leg room, but I've never not been able to fit into a seat.

These situations always amaze me. How hard would it have been to accommodate this couple to avoid the PR mess?

The Astros have already offered this lucky couple a pair of tickets to ANY regular season game of their choice! What more could the Astros do?!

Maybe its a testament to just how large this person is...this is not a normal large person, this is extra large.

Looks like they took the video down. At least it’s not showing up for me. Just a picture.

Exactly which only makes all this worse. Everyone reading knows that’s a ridiculous trade off. Not only could they not throw those two folks in one of the organization’s suites that had room for a couple more people, but then they make it worse by offering $50 tickets in exchange for a World Series game. Gee thanks.

Was an ACLS game, and I don't doubt that their suites are all full for the WS, but I'd imagine they could find somewhere to put him for the WS

Give them tickets to the WS and not one of 81 regular season games months later.

As the obesity pandemic continues to expand (pun intended) in America incidences like this will become increasingly more commonplace.

Well over 10 % of Americans are morbidly obese and that number is growing ( yes again) rapidly. If you doubt these numbers, just stop by your nearest Walmart, or convenience store!

Fat shaming should become the new PC trend du jour.

It's in the OP link, not sure where else to find it if it's not showing up on mobile.

Fwiw, in the video, the dude states that he went through 3 layers of Security asking them to assist, and no one knew what to do, and they did nothing.

This is the sole reason my dad and I have seat backs. They work wonders to claim your seat.

Fat shaming definitely needs to become socially acceptable.

shite I’m wearing my fat pants today and I deserve to be shamed for not working out last week and eating like a whale.

I stopped going to LSU games because of this. Me and the SO had two seats between two fatties for the Alabama game last year and you could barely see one of the seat numbers between them. When showing my tickets and asking one to move over, he jut threw his fat arms in the air like he couldn't do anything. Eventually the other fatty felt bad and left.

Bench seating is the worst for this.
