Definitely a sensitive situation for the park and the team. You can't ask someone their weight when they buy the tickets. This big guy has to take some personal responsibility here as he it taking up extra space than what he paid for.

So, their two seats were on either side of the dude? Seems like some kind of solution could be reached here.

Probably because there isn't a pair of shoes in existence that his feet wouldn't explode out of besides maybe some industrial grade leather boots.

What if the fat dude needed to use the restroom? If he was at the end of the row he's a fire hazard...he literally blocks the entire row.

well, there's an obvious solution, but I don't believe the fat guy can lose the 250 lbs in time.

cue the airplane discussion
Recently had a woman sit next to me on the plane and she tried to raise the armrest between us because she said it was pinching her enormously fat arse and leg. I said. I and kept it down. She actually had the gall to call the flight attendant to try to make me raise it. I said No and flight attendant shrugged and walked off. She felt she had the right to lose over into my seat somehow.

But like a dork, I actually paused when they showed their tickets lol. It was seat 12 and 13. That's why I mentioned for that price and such a big game, why the heck would you leave when you can just sit in the seat and your wife sit on your lap? That's what I would have likely done.
They said he went through 3 levels of leadership or whatever going up the chain. Not saying that was the wrong play, but if I'm really invested in the team, I probably don't use that time if it takes away from me watching the game.

Yeah, I just love that quote so I added it.
Probably my most quoted movie in every day interactions
I turn that one around on myself when I am gorging on food. "I can actually hear myself getting fatter". Wife is never amused.

weird that he had the seat in between them...why not tell him to scoot down and then put wife next to fatty and guy sits comfortably?

When I use to split season tickets to see the Astros I would buy 2 extra seats after going through the same thing. It was miserable and I said never again. This way I would have room and not have to sit next to a person taking up too much room in their seat and my seats.

Yes, security or someone would have kicked them out or talked to the guy or something. I get that the ticket holder didn't want to make a fuss himself but he had the tickets and he had a right. But don't leave the game then complain later. How do we know when they left? Maybe they made up that they left early with the plan to complain and try to score ws tix. And now that they didn't and have no chance to, they're going public with it for sympathy.

Again, dude is a fire hazard either way.

These situations always amaze me. How hard would it have been to accommodate this couple to avoid the PR mess?

Kick the person out for what offense exactly?
Posted on 10/30/17 at 11:58 am to tiggerthetooth
Fat dude probably bought three tickets and sold two on either side for this exact reason.
Posted on 10/30/17 at 11:59 am to tiggerthetooth
Damn. That dude has a fat roll on his ankle.
