I thought this episode was a mess. It was hard to tell where, when and why things were happening and who was getting shot.
The king explains to Carol what he already explained while they spend the whole episode chasing one guy so he doesn't "warn them we're coming." Isn't that obvious at this point?
The Jesus/Tara conflict is the same crap we've heard a hundred times and totally out of place in the middle of a firefight.
Rick apparently left a baby to die. Then an insignificant character from 7 years ago returns and tells Rick he called the saviors. What? Where were they anyway? And aren't the saviors being overrun by walkers from the window attack?
There were some positives. The slow motion closeups were funny. Didn't have to see or hear Negan and people actually did things instead of standing around talking.

If the kid didn't wake up after all the fighting then it's already dead.

This. They could at least thrown us a brief scene of the different leaders standing over a map saying - "You attack here, we'll take this location and you other guys pin them down here."
But a lot of people like plenty of action and we definitely got that this week.

I thought the exact same shite. I thought this episode was pretty shitty.

I agree here also. I thought "Oh, he called the saviors...how the frick are they going to get there?!"

I did also find it funny how the woman with the automatic weapon got her throat bitten out by a walker

We're at a point now where there's too many characters, too many plot lines and the show just isn't believable. Seasons 2 and 3 really were the pinnacle of the show. The plot was more realistic and the character development was great.

Just starting the episode. Should I even watch this thing?
How about make your own decisions and don't go off the opinions of random internet strangers?

Just think about this for a second.

So is GOT, but you forgive the Unbelievability because the story is written well. You know it's a fantasy world and you don't care because you enjoy it.
Walking dead is hard to enjoy anymore.
Too many people are alive and the characters are more like marketable comic book characters as opposed to being different. I go into the show hoping people die off so we can reduce stupid plotlines

Pretty much all of that.
The ammo thing is straight up hilarious at this point. Not to mention the firefights that last 30 minutes of nonstop firing, with heavy automatic weapons, from less than 20 feet away, and very few people get hit or killed.
The Jesus moral stand was supremely stupid, and totally out of place. And frick him for making me choose Tara's side.
This episode wasn't a horrible episode, it just felt really sloppy to me, like kiz zaid above. It was difficult to tell what all was going on most of the time, like who was firing on whom, who was on which side, etc. It just felt like it could have been a solid episode, but ended up being a jumbled mess in its execution.
Morgan killing people was cool, but having him literally be invincible (and know it) was disappointing.

Would the Perfect time for the series to have ended be..when Rick pulled up to Alexandria, and it took him a moment, but then he heard children playing as we saw the close up of his face?

I agree with all of the criticisms, but relatively speaking this was a good episode. Relative to the crap that has become typical for a WD episode. At least they kept the action up and didn't go into a lull like pretty much the entirety of the last season except maybe 3 episodes. I'll count that as a win in the right direction.

The sparing of those “workers” was a tactical departure and something that will likely come back to bite the good guys.
Posted on 10/30/17 at 11:41 am to JawjaTigah
Morgan should have killed the guy with long hair.

She literally sat there and let it happen. Didn’t try to fend him off at all, while holding a gun

the editing has gotten way too cute
just tell me and show me the story...this isn't prestige cinema

the episode was so dumb I was left thinking about how there has been at least 150 named characters, and none have had the same name.
tha frick is up with that?
