You do realize there are saviors in multiple outposts other than the sanctuary?

What are rick and Daryl doing?
They are looking for a weapons stash that Dwight told them about?
I’m confused

And where exactly are they? We aren't really sure because they did a shitty job of explaining anything.

Just think about this for a second.
The first three seasons were spot on imo about how human beings would react to an apocalyptic-like event. You have differing opinions about where to go and what to do. You have character development that shows some characters suspend morality and humanity when civilization collapses and some people retain their morality and humanity. The conflict between Shane and Dale in Season 2 and Rick's attempts to straddle the two are brilliant television.
Now the character development is lacking because there are too many characters in too many plotlines. Why weren't Negan and his lieutenants shot after giving a stage performance for 5 minutes? The whole storyline the past couple seasons has been jumbled to say the least.

All I got out of it was that Dwight gave them info that something was hidden there
And that rick and all had to find it so that weapons wouldn’t make it to sanctuary to clear a path for escape

Talking Dead mentioned this pretty quick last night or last week and said that if they shot him when he walked out the show would be over. That was their excuse, not shitty writing that Negan would walk out in the open to a group of people who loathe him that he heard fire guns, the show would be over.

Well it was shitty writing.

How can a gun battle with that many bullets flying around be that boring and hard to follow?
Did Michael Bay direct this episode?
Also, Jesus is an idiot.
I did like the Tiger mauling that one guy, though.

We're at a point now where there's too many characters, too many plot lines and the show just isn't believable. Seasons 2 and 3 really were the pinnacle of the show. The plot was more realistic and the character development was great.
What season were they on the farm the entire time? Bc it was awful.

I agree with many posters, there is entirely too many characters and subplots at this point. So we have the saviors, garbage people, all girls colony, hillside, and Alexandria all in play currently. Am I missing any? One of the reasons is stopped watching GOT was because it was all over the place and too much for me to keep up with. I dunno maybe I’m just not paying enough attention? Some explanation of the plans of attack would have been nice because I kept asking myself “wait, what group is this?!”

2. And that season was good

Man I know this is the No Comics thread but if this show just stuck to the source material it would be so damn good.
Anyway, few minor quibbles with this episode:
Is it impossible to show a single magazine reload for the AR15? Unless they are shooting 100 round drum magazines the rate of fire without reloading is dumb. However, I did appreciate the slide locking back and frequent reloading of Morgan's dual pistols.
Constant machine gun fire and the car windows and windshields are still intact? Again minor but something easy to do.
Best series characters by far are Morgan and Dwight. I really have enjoyed Morgan's character development and Dwight's inner battles about his loyalty to Negan and his hatred for him as well.
My best guess is Gracie (baby) is either Dwight's child or the child of his girlfriend with Negan.
No idea why they would bring back someone who literally 99% of viewers have no recollection of. I've watched every season religiously and had no idea who Morales was. I initially thought he was one of the Governor's henchmen.

Just watched it and agree the episode was a mess but at least it kept moving. Don't know how much more of Ezekiel and his fake tiger I can take.

How about make your own decisions and don't go off the opinions of random internet strangers?
I started and then quit. Morgan’s plot armor after being ‘shot’ in the hallway probably finished my interest in this series.
Too much unrealistic shite going on, too many characters that are untouchable, etc.
Y’all have fun.

Christ then just have him talk to them while peeking out from the door. It's not that hard
And when you look at all of the battles taking place this episode, the element of surprise they had really amounted to absolutely nothing

Yeah, he is incessant and gets on my nerves big time. I love the idea of the tiger, but it just looks so damn fake. Like I expect it to be CGI because it's a tiger, but it looks so bad at times that someone running the show should've been like "Okay, we have to nix the tiger...we just can't make it work."
Also, after all this time and umpteen situations with enemies, Rick still decided he and Darryl should split up while looking for those guns. How fricking stupid can you get. I know we've talked before about how without stupid decisions, a show like this can't really happen (or be interesting), but shite if it doesn't aggravate me every single time. Jesus wants to save the dude when the clear option is to kill him. Then the dude fricks them over. THEN they get the upper hand again, but do they kill him? Nah. Just tie him up. Surely he won't come back to bite you later. Rick and Darryl clearing rooms/floors together. Smart. Then they randomly decide to split up, and what happens? Rick almost dies basically. Good job.

That's such bullshite.
This world is a dangerous place. There is plenty of story if gimple had any imagination. For amc example..After what happened with Walt and Gus in S4, the following season was still one of the best things to happen to television.
Let's put the guy who co wrote Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in charge of the hottest television series.
