re: Orgeron gets ZERO blame for current OL and QB situation

Oh, I'm quite informed that the PFF ranked us #1 in all of the land. We were bestowed with this high honor and it sits in the trophy case right next to all of your honorable mention ribbons and momma's kisses to your forehead. Our line got their shite pushed in multiple times last year. One NFL guy on that line!! Maybe Maea will play some if he can bring his older brother with him.
It’s obvious you know way more than the people that watch and rate players each week. Idiot.

As long as O is at the helm he will be and deserves to be criticised. I'm not going to sit idly by while this guy continues to make an arse out of the program because "it's his dream job".
O's a big man. He can take care of himself. He doesn't need a pity party.

What would you call what LSU is doing right now? Oh well, at least we're floundering with a guy who knows what sauce piquante is.
And that's all O's fault IYO? You are an idiot.

Do you really think the OL is not a major problem?
It's a problem no doubt. So bad that we should lose by 30 to State (when we had 9,000,000 penalty yards) and lose by any number to Troy fricking state? No. It's clear we are lacking some bodies. But to act like we are so depleted to where the team is THIS bad is absurd. There are other issues facing this team - lack of intensity, inattention to detail, poor discipline - that have nothing to do with OL depth. For the record, I did like the intensity against UF. But a dead corpse could have gotten up for that one. The two teams loathe each other.

I didn't mean that literally. Last year's unit was essentially still Miles' unit.
The drop off in performance since then (I believe) is due in part because this group hasn't been coached up to the standard that we've been accustomed to with Miles as HC.
So, you are saying that Miles was physically coaching the OL and losing him has resulted in the poor OL play? Cause Grimes was here for Miles and Orgeron both.
I didn't like the Orgeron hire at all. In fact, if you go look at my post history at the time of the hire you'll see me destroying Alleva for the decision.
However, since he's gotten the job there is one thing Orgeron did at an elite level. The way that he ended the recruiting class last year and pulled that together given all of the problems was something that I don't think many could have done.
We had major holes on the roster at LB and very few prospects on the board. He filled out the class with quality prospects there.
On the same front, our OL depth is very questionable. I assume one of the reasons he kept Grimes was to finish out that class. Could you imagine the state of our OL right now had we lost a couple of those incoming freshman?
In short, Orgeron shouldn't be head coach. It was a poor decision by Alleva. And, Alleva should be fired for that decision and the process used to conduct the search. However, Orgeron did inherit some significant problems. OL is one of those problems. If I'm being fair and honest, I can't really fault Orgeron for that.

You put that all together with the talent in Louisiana and the talent that the program can attract and you got yourself another Powerhouse

Can we stop with the "LSU recruits itself" bullshite? We need a proven coach with an actual vision for the program and its players for it to "recruit itself".

We don't have the talent to be 6-0. Where football is played we are depleted. This fall started back in 2012 and is now really showing itself.
I'll attempt to explain this differently, and it can be applied to the OL or the entire team/program in general.
Miles did not leave with a championship quality roster in line for 2017. Call being a championship contender in 2017 "Point A". As of his firing in September 2016, Miles also did not leave a 2017 team in bad enough shape to lose to State by 30 and to be really handled by Troy. Call that "Point C".
Miles left us at Point B. O can't be blamed for not winning or contending for a championship this year. He didn't inherit it. However, the team he has put on the field is worse than what it should have been and worse than what he inherited. We have gone from point B to point C on his watch, not Miles'.
Thankfully most of the SEC is terrible.

Is anything his fault? He's the head fricking coach. He sets the tone at every step of preparation for every game and has since the Auburn game last year. He's been the head guy for all intents and purposes since the Auburn game last year. At what point is our shitty play on him?

Disagree.
First thing I'll blame him for is keeping Grimes. There are obvious coaching issues (obvious to me anyway).
Yeah, I say Miles should get some too.
But there's no way in hell you can exclude current staff from ANY blame.
I still don't get this fascination with picking the one and only person to blame on this board. It's the QB. No it's all Orgeron's fault. No, blame Canada. Nope, all on Miles. Maybe it's some people's obsession with instant gratification and hence a simplistic view on things... if we just do this one thing all we be well. NEVER works that way, much less with a team sport whose players have to make incredibly large jumps in skills from one level to another.

We can say what we want about a lot of other things, but those 2 issues are on Miles.
5 O-linemaen have transferred out since O took over, how is that on Miles
Transfers since the end of 2016
OL Chidi Okeke
OL Andy Dodd
OL Willie Allen
OL Maea Teuhema
OL Seth Stewart
Add 2 transfers after the fiasco at the end of 2015
OL Jevonte Domond
OL George Brown
ETA: that is not on Miles IMO. We also had some recruiting wiffs but those would not have added any experience.

3-21 though....thats what the Nega-O's say is the only thing that matters.

Great point above that we may not like Grimes but what if we didn’t keep Grimes and O wouldn’t have gotten that freshman OL class.Talk about a disaster

Again with the asinine Saban comparisons.

Who other than Teuhema would have started?
Well, you did have to play a true frosh in deculas, so if we are talking about depth, then yeah 5 transferred that weren't true frosh.
