If they would limit the piped in music to pregame and during the timeouts when the band is getting in and out of the stands for halftime it would be a huge improvement. Its not that they play music but they seem not to be able to have a moment that isn't either a commercial an announcement or a song being played. Miss the spontaneous LSU chants that would occur during these moments. Also the choice of music is horrendous. I even like some of these songs but they have no place in a football game. there are a few songs that seem to be ok with the majority of the fan bases. Play those when you have to or during certain parts of the game. Play recorded Tuba Quake, or the drum cadence or something LSU related if you need to play something. I don't need to hear Ozzy or Phil Collins in Tiger Stadium.
Of all the changes to the stadium experience, limiting the music is the easiest for them to do. Bathrooms and the 1980's TV's take money, not playing music should be able to be done very simply. Can't understand for the life of me why this can't be accomplished.
Also please put a mic infront of the band so it can be heard by the rest of the stadium. Dont need to blare it but would help those in the south endzone and the upper decks.

Probably wouldn’t do anything but there’s gotta be a way to get it across to the admins about all the flaws in the experience. Anyone know an email where we could link this thread as an example?

Are the new giant video boards utilized to show replays, highlights of other big games etc. ?
Also...are the "ribbon boards" used to continually update scores from other games ?

I was in the swamp last Saturday. They only played piped in music when LSU was in the huddle. And they played it LOUD.
When the huddle broke the music stopped and the crowd took over.

I agree. Death Valley is a football stadium, not a funeral parlour.

I hate the piped in music. Either the band plays or no music.

This all started bc they felt the need to neuter the student section because of "you suck cock" during Oweo and STTDB during Neck.
So they started piping in music to take the place of the band during those spots. Let them do whatever the hell they want.

Totally agree on all points!! The sound regime in Tiger stadium is the worst I have ever experienced for a college game. Terrible!

How about delete that... Im from Louisiana.. At least on TV it sounds rediculous and stupid!

Hey Tiger Sound people look how many upvotes this post has compared to downvotes. There is a pretty simple conclusion here; people want change!!! Listen up!!

quote:scores are updated but not continuously, and they're hard to see with all the advertising. They show the previous play one time, no more, even when there's a break in the action. And forget about it if it's a controversial call. You won't be seeing that one. They show look ins from other games once in a great while, but not consistently.

quote:Yes they can. You know how I know that? I was a GBFTL member when there was no PIM at all and we played the entire game. No problem............
Here's the problem. The Band can't play the whole game

Piped in music is a disconnect between the fans and the band. The band is one of those things that seperates college football and the NFL. I can't stand the piped in music. It changes the atmosphere greatly.
All the PIM and that ultra noise pollution before kickoff.
The kickoff team needs to be concentrating on their assignments instead of the annoying noise pollution.
Does Saban allow noise pollution before every kick-off?

Does the guy who's in charge of the football music do baseball games too? Because the guy who picks the music at baseball games is a fricking idiot as well.

You sadly can't even compare VTs opening to ours. They're 10000x more hype than us. Our music selection will put you to sleep.
