Freedom of Speech gives you a voice and no one can take that away from you. But it doesn't guarantee you a stage and a microphone. Why do people think this? You don't have a right to force people to listen. You have a right to speak your voice. No one else has to care and no one else has to spend money to make sure you get a chance to speak.

Publicly funded University.

Either they allow anyone to speak or no one to speak. No in between.

Everyone will agree with this, until you tell them it means nobody is obligated to host their website.

It guarantees you the right to speak -with certain limitations- but it does not guarantee that others must listen.

It's right next to the separation of church and state line.

It's not there.

It's a touchy topic. Bill Ayers won a court ruling a few years ago allowing him to speak at The University of Wyoming after he was previously denied. It overturned a big Heckler's veto on campus.

I know this argument sounds good to you morons but it's not. In fact it's painfully fricking stupid and I can illustrate how stupid it is very quickly

Let's say that violent assholes threatened any and all events held by minorities on University campuses. Then let's say those campuses began to cancel events buy those minorities using the security concerns argument. Would you still Hold Your Position? I think we know the answer that question

The government shouldn't be in the business of picking and choosing cool it will defend and protect. If it's going to be in that business then it's time we start shooting frickers. The government would never tolerate Banning female speakers black speakers Hispanic speakers or even just liberal speakers if the reason was security concerns.

Hell it used to be in our country that when the South tried to let people violently prevent speech the federal government sent in the National Guard. And rightfully so

You leftist frickers are nothing but a bunch of totalitarian pieces of shite

Your question suggests a middle-school level understanding of the Constitution and political/legal culture. I'll read the responses and see if I can help at all.

Last night on Tucker Carlson there was a lawyer who was actually arguing that the First Amendment guarantees your right to block a major highway and keep people from traveling.

Now that , in this case, guy should lose his law license IMMEDIATELY.

This is so apparent that I don't know why it is not the first and last thing spoken when the "freedom of speech" meme is brought up - especially by the left wing radical socialist antifa/BLM scum.

And you especially do not have the right to stop others from speaking.
