Dig out the material underneath your fingernail and look at it under a microscope. That should cure you.

I did at one point and then my parents told me to fricking stop, so I did.

When I smoked I told myself to fricking stop.

Maybe try to use a little will power and fricking stop

Yes. I just made a conscious effort to stop. That was high school. Haven't habitually bitten them since.

I quit because it was wearing my teeth. I put a fingernail clipper in my pocket for a while and always kept nails trimmed so there was noting to bite.

I keep fingernail clippers in my desk and trim them twice a week. They are too short to bite at. Worked for me.

Yep. Quit in high school. I got fake nails for a while and the habit disappeared. Probably won't help you.

My friend is a doctor and he said one time they took an X-ray of somebody complaining of abdominal pains. There was this big round mass and they went to surgery and removed a 35 pound ball of fingernails from the patients small intestine. Apparently the guy had been chewing his fingernails for like 25 years and the body can't digest them but they stick together

been trying to stop for at least 10 years. Once they grow out to the point of being normal the tips of my fingers feel funny. I guess like they need some chewin so I acquiesce. Right now I've get em chewed right to the quick.

They have some bitter liquid on amazon that is suppose to help quit. Some say to wear a rubber band around your wrist and pop it every time you take a nibble. Supposedly it makes your brain learn not want to chew.

Did it until I was 31. Finally just made the effort to stop. Biggest thing is just making an effort to realize you're doing it and then just stop doing it. And keep them clipped short so they dont bug you.

Bit my nails for as long as I can remember. I would literally bite them so much they would bleed. It was a habit I picked up from my dad. So when I had kids I wanted to kick the habit. I bought the Barielle nail polish stuff from CVS and 4 years later I don't bite them anymore. That stuff has an awful fricking taste. Its so bad that when you wash your hair it gets in your mouth from the water running off your head. It works.

Don't use toilet paper the next time you wipe. Go ahead and wash your hands afterwards and then ponder on if you really need to bite them that bad or not. I know it's a little drastic but something tells me it will work once you get that "image" in your mind.

Yeah it's called quit being a sick frick and don't do it in the first place. It's trashy. Ah, damn it...you got me...b
Nice subtle brag on being a trashy frick thread.

Watch reruns of Houston Nutt on the sidelines coaching. Pretty embarrassing being a recovered biter myself.
