Football teams are in cities. In cities people are more educated and have more exposure to a diverse group of individuals. It's a lot easier to hate on people that you never really interact with.

Almost every NFL team is based in a large, urban area, pretty much where all the Democrats in the country are congregated.

It's actually surprising the skew isn't more.

Sample size of around 70-72 per team with that meany independents/no answer wouldn't pass as valid sample size.

If they polled season ticket holders I believe they'd get
far different results.More important to have those
folks are your side than deadbeat urbanites who watch on TV

Are we really equating a NY Giants football fan who's a democrat with someone who supports the kneelers?

If anything, this points out how far to the left of mainstream democrats that the Kneelers are.

You mean the large liberal echo chambers for the most part support Democrats? They had to do a survey to figure that out?

Yup. The more educated sports fan generally prefers CFB.

2,290 sample size when dealing with 32 teams is WAAAAAAAY too small. Survey is shite, therefore graph is shite.

For the math challenged, that's an average of 71.6 fans per team surveyed. Not enough fans.

ETA: And another thing, it looks like nearly half of those surveyed did not answer. Which means it's even worse than I previously stated. These are numbers that mean absolutely nothing.

How old are you?

And you still believe in the honesty of polls and surveys.

Survey urban cities and get majority dimocrat. Nothing to see here.
But look how much of them didn't answer!

Through in the suburbs and surrounding rural areas for honest results!

The biggest question is do the Chargers have 11.1 fans?

where'd they find enough Chargers fans to be able to include them in a statistically significant sample?

I don't fricking believe this bullshite. I wonder where the people were polled, at a game for attendance, or just downtown in the city etc.

You can't tell me NFL fans are skewed that far left though, common sense says that's odd

The country has more democratics than republicans. However, two things: independents tend to vote republican and there are more self-identifying conservatives than liberals.

Everyone of those cities has huge conservative suburbs around it and large conservative leanings outlets that carry those teams.

The chart is very misleading.
