Student organizations wishing to tailgate on the LSU Parade Ground will have a new set of guidelines

I would think the individuals in these organizations should just informally decide to tailgate on the parade grounds....or some other part of campus like every tailgate does.

Best idea I have heard yet. The rest of campus still has this issues but the parade ground is on a different level the day after a game.

Only a matter of time until there is a $50 tent set up fee.

The parade grounds look like the slums of Rio after an SEC game.

Honestly, why are these "new rules" necessary when it still requires that they be enforced. Nothing is stopping LSUPD now from cracking down on the underage drinking and fining people for trashing the area.

Maybe I missed something. Did that kid drink himself to death on the parade grounds?

They just used it as the event to push their agenda. That kid drank his own self to death and the others causing the violence at games didn’t even actually go to LSU I’m pretty sure. The LSU administration for whatever reason just doesn’t care about the culture that makes LSU so unique and leaving the students the hell alone.

Tablecloths could assist in hiding common-alcohol sources...my only guess.

I’m not that old. We used to tailgate on the Parade Ground. 10-12 years ago it did not look like a landfill on saturday nights. Was there trash? Sure. But not to this level.

That's what will happen. Even better, let the Greek's tailgate in their houses.

This is what we always did. I did not realize it was different now. They probably banned that and forced them onto the parade grounds to start with.

It started when I was in college. They made it to where if you wanted to tailgate at the house, you had to get an approved vendor and purchase all alcohol from them. SO, we set up shop on campus, much to the chagrin of many alumni who were pushed out of "their spots." LSU has some real morons in administration.

Sooo, can't they just move their tailgate from the parade ground and not have to follow these rules? I know there are a couple fraternities that already tailgate by Lockett.

Only applies to student orgs.. who cares?

This could quite easily move on to other areas of campus outside of student organizations. Look what LSU has done to the tailgating atmosphere already along Nicholson Drive and parking charges on campus. It no secret Fuentes-Martin is no fan of campus tailgates by students she just needed an excuse to push through her agenda. Remember never let a crisis or perceived problem go by without taking advantage of it. LSU has raped And pillaged the fan base for nearly 10 years now. This is just a continuation of it. They like the NFL are destroying their product. They just don't realize it or don't give a damn as long as the cash is flowing. To quote Maximus in Gladiator....."“The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end…

People are crazy about their "spots". I have no idea where they would go.
