The Leinart/Bush/Carroll teams of 04 and 05... Will we ever see another college football Team as a whole reach that kind of celebrity and fame? Or I s it even possible now with social media, TMZ, and such waiting to bust them for every move.

The O.C., Laguna Beach, USC, Snoop and Will Ferrell...it was the perfect mix at the perfect time. Don't know if I've ever had more fun watching a college football team.

Tech after we win the natty this season. Historic school, program, located in the best city on Earth, & the new entertainment capital of America. It's a perfect combination.

Yeah you saw it again with them with Matt Barkley. Remember the #1 AP preseason ranking?

As in getting wins and championships vacated? It's a plausible proposition, likely contingent on the city in which the team plays

As time goes by it seems stranger and stranger that Fresno State was involved in one of the biggest games of the 00's. They fell off about as quickly as they arrived on the scene.

I just so wanted to see Bush and Leinart go down lol... The stars were out that night. This was when Boise was winning a few games but before they were BOISE

I was looking at point spreads today and saw Fresno is a huge dog Sat and thought the same thing. I was hoping Boise was here to stay. I enjoyed watching that scrappy team.

As far as glam teams go I can think of 2 since the 80's Miami circa 86 with their go to war attitude with Jimmy Johnson at the helm and Pete Carrol with USC. It would probably have to be one of these teams since the media glorifies the Playboy lifestyle of the rich in both areas.

Kind of hard to show a glam life in Louisiana, Alabama, Texas or any other state for that matter.

I remember that game too. Bush had like 500 total yards that game. He made a Sanders-esqe 60 or 70 yard run where he zig zagged across the field for a score. Made defenders look silly that year.

They were the biggest posers of all time. They talked like they were 3x champs and they won 1 title lol. They even bought themselves a trophy after the 03 season because they couldn't win one. All those teams did was run it up on cupcakes and pat themselves on the back for it. Once they ran up against a real team they got beat. 03 LSU would've pounded them into dust and they're lucky Auburn got robbed of a chance in 04 when they lucked up and faced big game Bob instead. Aaron Rogers beat them by himself in 03 and they should've lost to a crummy Notre Dame team too.

Guess you missed it when they shut out auburn on the road in leinart's first game, or hung 120 combined on Arkansas (and bush/leinart weren't even around for the second game).

I would happen all the time if it weren't for teams playing in small towns.

I'm sure LA or Miami will produce some stars again.

It all ended at the feet of Vince Young, but loved watching USC and their "scene" in those days. Alabama is so boring and businesslike.

Was never so happy to see VY10 and the Horns to beat them

Really chapped my arse when they were just declaring themselves champs in '03. Our D-Line would've ate Reggies lunch in the Dome had we played them

Then Louisiana Tech skull-drug Fresno the following week! There was a weird cross-country rivalry with Tech and Fresno back then.

Shows how much you know about the 03 Trojans.

Bush was a freshman and third on the depth chart.
