His signing was the first step in the re-emergence of LSU football after the Curly debacle. Guy was a great Tiger thru and thru! Grew up in BR and became a pro's pro in New England. Best pair of hands out of the backfield I've ever seen.

I was at that game, and can tell you that the entire stadium felt the reemergence of LSU as a football power in that 4th quarter.
We began the 4th quarter thinking that DiNardo was more of the same old shite, but then #7 put the ball in his hands and erased years of misery under Archer/Curly.
Weak opponent, but one of the best games I've ever been to in TS.

That touchdown run was a thing of beauty from the student section. Hole opened up and he was gone.

I was there. I'm pretty sure aneville missed an extra point and lost by 1 point in what would be legendary coach Charlie Brown's last game.
I was also at the Houston game with our very own Dale Murphy. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was his first game in Tiger Stadium. Faulk beasted.

I was working at the Bank Draft in Rice Village that night and had to deal with a few local Cougar fans but it was all good. I kept going to my car to listen in peace every few minutes. Was super frustrating. Then the last 10 minutes I was MIA and came back in with a big smile. The Tigers were back!!!!!

My dad brought me to that game. I was 8. We left in the third quarter and I can vividly remember him screaming at the radio on the drive home. Listening to games isn't the same without hawethorne.
