I live in a very small town in the middle of nowhere, yet we have several millionaires, would love to have more money than those dudes.

Ascension Parish has a few hidden rich people. Mainly because they do not flaunt it and their wealth is tied to the land they own.

Richest man in a small town. That means I can live on the water, build my own private airfield, and fly myself anywhere I want to go at anytime. I can run the whole area as a fiefdom and a springboard to higher office. You can afford vacation homes and condos elsewhere (condo near LSU for games, condo in New Orleans near the Dome, Condo on the beach, ski lodge in the mountains, etc).
