Who would you rather be?

One of the wealthiest people in a small town, maybe get to run for city council if you want to or just a regular joe in the nicest part of a big city?

Let's say that for all purposes of the discussion, both places have a similar crime rate.

I like small/medium sized towns or cities. I grew up in one and if I didn't have to commute 1 hr each way for work I'd live in one again.

More money more problems

Small towns are hard enough to live in with all the gossip and everyone in your business.

Do I get to choose the "small town"? Can I be the richest person in, say, Aspen, CO?

I'll take the situation where I'm rich. You didn't really clarify which situation that would be.

Can I live in a "cooler-free" small town and drive a monster truck over a series of cars that do not belong to me and take money from the other town residents?

I don't live in a small town -- not really, I guess. Are you saying I have to move to the closest one? I mean, that's not much different than the city.

I guess, I don't understand.

If I have to choose close to where I live, I go for Prospect, KY. With your scenario I'd have a net worth of roughly $1 billion with "Papa John" Schnatter as my neighbor.

I'd rather be Gabriel Caine and take down the richest man in town. Diggstown baller.
