Truck Brothers Educate me - 2014 F-250 Deisel

I am looking pretty hard at a 2014 F-250 Crew cab diesel. It has around 80,000 miles on it and a lot of options (Fx4 package, heated and cooled leather, back up camera, 4x4, etc. - loaded). Priced at $40,998 I am wondering how good of a truck that is for that year.
I am brand agnostic for the most part, I want a used truck this one is kind of at the top end of my price range but doable with the options I like. I have heard mixed reviews about Ford's diesel engines.
Help? TIA

FWIW, I bought a 2014 F350 last December. Previously owned a GMC 3500 for 10 years. Great ruck. I give style points, interior, and amenities to GMC. But the 6.7 has been impressive thus far. I think Ford makes a better "working" vehicle and GMC is more comfortable.
Don't think you'll go wrong with the Ford F-250. Good luck.

The last I heard the 2014 suffered the same problems previous Fords have. They can't get fuel pumps to hold up for much over 100k miles. I hear they have to pull the cab to replace. $10k is what my buddy paid to get his changed. He had 108k miles on it.
Duramax FTW. A plus with GM is the Allison transmission.

You shouldn't own a diesel if you can't spell the damn word.
You should buy a Cummings.

I wouldn't be scared of a 6.7 in that year, with those miles.
Price is up there but not outrageous for what you're getting.

I have the same truck and have had zero problems. Getting ready to trade it in and am amazed that it's still worth that much. I paid about 52k 3.5 years ago

Probably a great truck but the price seems high

For 80,000 miles, the owner or the dealership better be knocking off at least 15-18,000 off the list price of damn near 41,000 for me to consider that truck.
If they insist on that ridiculous price for 80,000 miles, I'm walking.
Even with 80,000 miles on it, I could definitely buy a nice truck like that for 23-25,000.

10k? For a fuel pump? Did I read that right?

no way am I buying a Diesel unless it's needed for a business or your pulling a fifth wheel.

I've personally put my eyes on a recipt for $9k to repair a failed fuel system on a 2014 Ford diesel.
ETA: at 110k miles
For $40k, I would buy a brand new one without all of the options.

It's like 150k on a Ford Diesel, although I hear the 6.7 isn't quite as awful 6.4L or 6.0L Powerstroke engines.
You can buy a gently used compact car for what you'll pay in repairs.
